Well the one thing is he is getting rid of the ball quickly so he hasn’t been hit a bunch. That’s the key, he is dropping back 51 times but most of those are quick passing game and he isn’t getting hit

i probably won’t be the first here to day it, and it was recognized by MT,  that the WR play was abysmal.  However, I have noted subpar play from Claypool for quite some time.  While he has had some big stats games, he also has more than his share of drops, and, worse, he does not react well to the deep ball.  He is a rookie, any thoughts of diminishing his role until such time as he shows more consistency...even if just to motivate.

His skill set and speed are too important to the offense to try and sit him down. He needs to play and the Steelers will live with a few deops

Hey Paul...when listening to your radio show, I laugh when I hear a caller say they have been a Steelers , Pirates or Pens fan for 30 or 40 years, like that makes them some kind of expert.  What’s your reaction when you get a caller like that?
Zeise
1:56
My reaction is “here is someone older than me!!”

Paul, was that the worst example of receiving since my unforgettable tenure in black and gold/yellow?
Zeise
1:57
Well the fact that people were bringing your name up a lot speaks volumes about how bad it was

If Highsmith can step in and excel, could this draft have the most immediate impact of any Steeler drafts? Especially surprising given the Covid circumstances.
Zeise

It has had a good group of players and because of injuries they have been asked to step in and play some really big roles
Joe Dudas

Why is Washington not being used more? Great hands tough, and can catch in crowed areas??
Zeise
1:59
I would say because he is the fourth best receiver on the team right now. And when you factor in Ebron, he is at best the fifth option at any given time

Hate that the Steelers don't line up on the goal line with a fullback and extra lineman to pound the ball in. I think this will hurt them in the playoffs as better teams play better coverage D in the endzone making it harder to score through the air. Have they given up on that strategy or is it Ben's preference to throw the ball in that situation?
Zeise
2:00
Well as long as Ben Roethlisberger is calling plays they will be throwing a ton in every situation.

Does Dupree's injury give us a chance to resign him?
Zeise
2:01
Yes I think it does. I can’t s is anyone giving him big money until he proves he is healthy again and that means his price tat comes way down
Stephon

Paul, should I give up the prognostication side gig and focus on getting healthy and continuing my dominant play?
Zeise
2:02
Probably. Your tweet before this game was pretty dumb on a lot of levels. They need you back on the defensive line but you also need less free time on your hands....

I watched R. Spillane get pushed all over the place last night. Made a point to watch him...I am not impressed with him. Why are they NOT using A. Williamson??
Zeise
2:03
He played more snaps last night then he has. I think they are working him in and he probably will see an expanded role now
Charlie Woods

Paul, since you worship the old man, just wondering how many majors you think I will have by my 18th birthday?
Zeise
2:04
I worship God. I enjoy Tiger Woods. I think you won’t win until you are in your 20s

I could barely hear anything the NBC announcers were saying yesterday. Why was the fake crowd noise so loud?
Zeise
2:05
I hate that noise. It sounds so, well, fake. It is not necessary.
2:06
Well that’s it for today, thanks so much for all the great questions and we will do it again next week at noon!!!
