Just watched steelers safeties working the titans game and came away almost as impressed with Edmunds as I was with Fitzpatrick.  We need players like Edmunds to do the dirty work - blowing up RB screens and getting off blocks at point of attack.  He is underrated, and that's fine with me.  Do you think the steelers will offer him enough to stay here?

I understand why Pickett and many others don’t want to take risk and have opted out of their teams final games. But, if I’m an NFL GM or coach building a team, I want a leader who will put his team and teammates first. That’s especially true for a quarterback.
In looking at the best young quarterbacks, it looks like all of them played in their teams final games. Admittedly, a couple (e.g. Burrow, Mack Jones) were playing for a championship but many others (e.g. Mahomes, Jackson, Josh Allen, Herbert) were not. So, should that be a consideration for the Steelers as they go looking for their next franchise quarterback?

Agree it is early for next season predictions. And of course no idea what happens in a season injury wise etc. But to your point in losing a close game to Miami for Pitt. if Pitt is picked to win to Coastal and they did lose a close game to Miami then I don’t think it is stupid to say that would  be a disappointment.  (I guarantee for some Pitt fans it would a fireable offense for Narduzzi for under achievin..and that would be stupid.).   At least for next season it is looking like Pitt could be the huge favorite in the Coastal and since they got there this year and won ACC anything less is a step back.

With opt outs becoming more common, isn’t it time to admit the Bowl system is broken and establish a playoff to keep guys engaged? Also, wouldn’t it be a good idea to hold off on the Heisman until after the bowls?

I don’t agree with a couple premises expressed earlier. On the off chance that Tuitt comes back and AluAlu is ok, the defensive line is suddenly not a problem. Plus JuJu could be back when he sees how low his value is on the open market.

Great answer to the Mt. Rushmore question. I’m certain the Steelers would be the toughest team in all of sports to pick the four best faces to carve.  You’d need at minimum 3 mountains.
