My best guess is that the Patriots are employing the old strategy of "don't tell them no, just tell them how much it will cost". Tom Brady is on the verge of 40 and the Pats know that they can't bank on his health, no matter what kind of holistic hullabaloo he's into

Do you think the Packers could target Pasztor to replace Lang?
Zach Links
3:39
Could and should, 100%. Install him at G and use him when needed at T.

How about DeAngelo Williams?
Why is he still out there?
Zach Links
3:39
Market is moving slow for all RBs and there are other guys that probably have to come off the board first. I'm guessing he has a standing offer from PIT that he's trying to top

Hey Zach, just want to hear your POV on this: once the Cowboys release Romo & free up some cap space, do you see Dallas pursuing Adrian Peterson, especially amid the NFL Investigations on legal issues surrounding Ezekiel Elliot?
Zach Links
3:44
I still don't think Elliott has anything to worry about in terms of legal stuff or NFL discipline, so that won't be a factor.
3:45
Jerry Jones would LOVE to sign Peterson. But will Peterson be OK playing a (very distant) second fiddle to EE? I have a hard time seeing that. Some other team has to come along and offer him a chance for more playing time, right?

What do you think about the Patriots running back situation? do you think they continue with White and Lewis or do you think they look into adding a RB as low risk, high reward? Charles or Peterson?
Zach Links
3:46
Burkhead, White, Lewis. I think they can comfortably stand pat. They might explore Charles and Peterson but they'll be frugal about it and those guys will want opportunities to shine rather than vying for carries w/ that bunch.

Best CB on the board when the Packers pick at 29?
Zach Links
3:49
Marlon Humphrey could be there. Would have thought Gareon Conley at one point, but no longer. He'll be long gone.

Who was the best under the radar signing thus far?
Zach Links
3:50
I LOVE the Bradley McDougald signing today by the Seahawks. Who wouldn't want him as their first S off the bench, especially at such a cheap rate?
3:51
I'm also a fan of the Jets' Morris Claiborne signing at $5MM, though I have one major gripe with it - couldn't the Jets have found a way to work in a potential second year?
3:52
Maybe a voidable second year? Or a fairly high-priced second year option? If the Jets are in any kind of position to win in 2018, they might wish they had Claiborne sewn up
3:53
From Claiborne's perspective - soft market given his red flags, I get it. But NYJ might not be the place to rebuild his value
If the whole defense craters, he's going to be overwhelmed

Does Kenjon Barner have a chance to be a difference maker in LA?
Zach Links
3:54
Dying to see what he does in a larger sample size. Yes, I think he can be a quality RB and wind up as the No. 2 guy behind Melvin Gordon. Maybe a sneaky FF bench stash too.

Gonna keep sending this one in LOL ! Will M Lynch get on the field this year and can Lacy fill his shoes in Seattle ?
Zach Links
3:56
I'm not so sure Lynch comes back. There's clear mutual interest between him and the Raiders, but I don't know how much they'll be willing to pay him in 2017 given other late offseason needs + extension talks for Carr and Mack
As it stands, he's due $9MM for the coming year. A crazy amount of $ given the RB market
Would the Raiders be better off with Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch?

Adrian Peterson (45.5% | 15 votes)

Marshawn Lynch (54.5% | 18 votes)

Where do I end up and do I get suspended to start the season?
Zach Links
4:00
Roger Goodell has surprised us all before, but I don't think there's any way he can reasonably be suspended after the way it played out in court. There is no proof of wrongdoing on his part.
4:01
As for landing spot - think contenders. Because of his guarantee, he can sign for the minimum, and that makes him pretty darn attractive even though he dogged it last year
Packers maybe? They could use some secondary help. Might be a while before he signs, however.

The pats have all the leverage with Butler. What do you think will come out of the situation? I think they'd be stupid to trade Butler for anything less than the Saints 11th overall pick because they shouldn't have to settle for that when they can just keep him and ride out the season.
Zach Links
4:02
Thing is, Patriots won't want to pay Butler in the long term and they might not even feel he's worthy of a franchise tag this time next year. Why not finagle a deal to recoup their own 1st rd pick?

Thanks for doing this chat, do you think the Seahawks will actually trade Sherman? What would it take, besides caproom, for a team to pry him away?
Zach Links
4:02
Thanks for joining! I don't think he's going anywhere, despite the talk.

True/false - The Raiders win a Super Bowl in the next 3-5 years?
Zach Links
4:03
I like their odds. So much talent on both sides of the ball.

What are your thoughts on the Spring League, think anyone will benefit from the additional exposure?
Zach Links
4:07
I think it's really interesting. For some of these guys, it's a last chance situation. I think Greg Hardy and Brandon Browner are the big names to really watch. Ben Tate also in there but it has been so, so long since his flashes of brilliance in Houston.
