We missed what Kyle was just talking about. What is the Early Access Group?
Mentor Mike
12:47
Kyle pointed me towards Coinbase.  Easiest to use
Bill
12:47
What platform do you use for Crypto Options?
Mentor Mike
12:08
Steve Nison has a popular book called The Candlestick Course... I've never looked at it personally, I just learned from people/training videos over the years, but that could be a place to start
Bob
12:07
Could you suggest a good book to learn how to read candle stick charts
Mentor Mike
12:04
Not sure exactly what you're referring to Dave.  Preston is sitting next to me and he wasn't sure either... was it during P's discussion?
Dave
12:03
What is the reference to finding bullish stocks list in IBD again?

This info is also available daily on IBD. Click on Market Trend at the top, then "Access The General Market Indicator Charts" under the chart.

The downside risk INCREASES (more risk) if the put protection is further away.  The larger the spread, the larger the risk
Dave Gusman
10:07
So is the risk higer the bigger the spread, or is it lower the bigger the spread?
Mentor Mike
10:07
Yes if the stock makes a move higher over time you'll adjust the put protection.  We will stair-step up the long put strike price so our spread doesn't get too wide
Dave Gusman
10:06
If this moves up in value, should you tection at a lower value and buy a higher value protection e.g. sell Jnan $75 and buy Jan 82.50?
Mentor Mike
10:03
Just depends on you account size, risk tolerance, etc.  Try to lineup the position size you are comfortable with and go from there!
Dave Gusman
10:02
I have a  single contract on NiProtection date and level would Preston recommend to add to my position
Mentor Mike
10:02

The difference between the strike prices, 114 short put and the 105 put, that is a $9 spread.  Each contract represents 100 shares, so each contract is $900.  If you trade 10 contracts, that is $9,000 in margin.  Then, you have the debit to start the trade.  Since we are bringing in 2,800 and paying 4,800 for the 10 contracts there is a 2k debit.  So add the 2k and the 9,000 and you get the 11,000.  Whew!
Paul
9:54
Can you explain again how you got to $11,000 margin needed.
Mentor Mike
9:54
You will just need to buy to close the sold put, and if you want to stick with the trade, you sell the next week's puts.  (roll out).  If it struggles right out of the gate, sometimes we close it out after the first week, but not very often
Andrew Stinson
9:52
What happens if the stock drops the first week? You must use your protection immediately?
Mentor Mike
9:19
I'll try to mention that one to Preston!
Heather
9:18
Check out the surprise factor on NTNX with 3X the average daily volume in just the first 90 minutes of the market. It is not on earnings but on news of a buyout.

Tell Preston that he might be having an ocular migrain which can be triggered by Caffien.  Isquiggly lines in his vision.  Mine typically last for about a half hour.
Mentor Mike
9:03
Yes you can buy some calls... that is a more bullish trade compared to a MP that is more neutral/slightly bullish
