if the stock is moving up can you buy calls instead of puts?
Mentor Mike
8:59
Thanks Trey!

STRONG presentation Mike
Mentor Mike
8:59
If you were selling them naked, yes. However, the idea is that if you had a bought call in place, and then you sold calls against it as the stock price got overextended to the upside, you would be able to collect more premium along the way
LUANNE
8:59
So wouldn't just selling calls be expensive?
Mentor Mike
7:49
The video that was frozen in the livestream during that segment will be viewable in the replay! Sorry for the inconvenience.
7:44
Seems that video might be back. All good?
6:59
Just about to start!  I'm kicking things off, but we will still try to keep an eye on the chat!
And as a reminder, all of the sessions are recorded and will be available soon!
6:47

Heather

Thank you Mike!
Mentor Mike
2:28
Hopefully that answered that for you!
Heather
2:27
No
Mentor Mike
2:20
I got pulled out of the room briefly so I didn't hear the end of the DLTR discussion... did she answer this Heather?
Heather
2:20
Since DLTR has been trending sideways since it gapped down the last time, would Stella still get in to a Gap trade even though it is so far after the gap down?
Mentor Mike
1:59
I know she has a little more to cover... if you still have a question in a bit let me know and I'll pass it along
Luanne
1:58
So the gap is the only criteria?Maybe she will answer that.
Heather
1:58
Sounds good, thanks Mike!
Mentor Mike
1:58
I don't think she was going to talk about that in this presentation.  Sorry if there was any confusion there.  I'll have to get her on the MMP schedule to discuss that one further!
Heather
1:54
I know Stella has mentioned on the MMP webinars that she does a lot of Sleepover Bandit trades each Thursday. Is she planning to talk about that as well? I thought I remembered seeing SOB trades listed on the email about the Philadelphia event (but I am not 100% sure).
Mentor Mike
1:49
Yes we will get all of the files on the replay page so you can download everything
pjstocker
1:49
Will we get copies of her lists?
Mentor Mike
1:49
Yes all of the slides and files will be available to download on the replay page
Heather
1:48
Can we get a copy of Stella's handouts that she put in the in-person bags?
David Gusman
1:48
Can you email the spreadsheed to those of us on line?
Mentor Mike
12:57
Taking a quick break... then Stella will be up!
12:52
He recently started a Money Press on NKE.  He sold the 89 put that expires tomorrow and owns the January 82.5 puts for his protection.  He will be rolling that 89 put tomorrow
Claudia
12:52
what is the trade on nke?
Mentor Mike
12:51
I'm not seeing any gaps down recently... is there a date you are seeing?  (or are you just wondering about MA in general?  Not Sunrise/Demise related?)
Scott
12:50
Wondering about MA
Mentor Mike
12:46
The recent drop wasn't a GAP down... it's had some selling days, but no big gap has occured
12:45
Having him speak to this one David!  Thanks!
David Gusman
12:45
What about WYNN
Mentor Mike
12:28
We usually look for bullish setups.  Selling a put is a bullish trade, then we buy the 3 or 4 month out put for protection.  So the structure of selling ATM puts is to take advantage of time decay and a bullish/slightly bullish setup.
Claudia
12:27
why puts and not calls on the money press
Mentor Mike
12:27
Good question!  Selling a put without protection will be a "naked put" position which requires a large margin requirement.  You can, it is just less protected to the downside in the case of a big drop, costs more for margin, and you need the highest options trading clearance to trade naked puts.  Hope that helps!  (could spend an hour talking about that question!)
warren
12:25
Why buy protection when you can sell a put further out for less premium.  Fidelity has an option trade builder that gives a percentage chance of the stock finishing below the strike price
Mentor Mike
11:31
Rolling again!  Enjoy the afternoon session!
11:21
Welcome!  Should be starting back up in about 10 mins!
