Great!! - Thank you!
Mentor Mike
10:59
Yes absolutely!  The recording is yours to keep forever!
Steve
10:58
Is this 2 day presentation being recorded, so we can review it again?
Mentor Mike

I would be very selective about selling calls on the LEAPS.  But we will definitely do it when the timing is right.  IF the stock has surged higher and looks due for a pullback, then we look to be call sellers.  It might only be once or twice a month we sell weekly calls just for some context
John Reilly
10:56
Not related to Brandon's presentation, but I'm curious about a strategy for writing weekly calls on our LEAPS. Do you do them every week?  Look at market trends? Usually write otms, and if so, how many strikes otm?  Thanks.
Mentor Mike
10:48
Yes Jeff we will try to get them to use the handheld mics for questions... Sorry about the feed dropping, I'll have our AV crew check on that!

Great presentation so far! The livestream dropped for about 5 minutes near the end of Brandon's session (from 11:45 to 11:50 am ET). Also, please remind the presenters to pass the hand mic around when audience is asking question, we were unable to hear any of the audience questions at the end of Brandon's presentation and he didn't repeat them before answering them.

We are on lunch break until 1:30 pm Eastern!

Typically a Money Press is 8-12 weeks long.  Brandon rarely holds over earnings... so most of his trades are under 3-4 months long
Claudia
9:41
is he saying his trade are not longterm?
Mentor Mike

So welcome!
John Reilly

Thanks, Mike

LOVE the music selection! :)

I think the 2026 Jan leaps will be available in the fall of 2023.  The 2025 became available in Sept so I assume it might be a similar pattern
Joel
8:32
When will the LEAPS with a further out date than Jan 2025 become available?
Mentor Mike
8:31
He was talking about Nicolas Darvas, How I Made $2 Million in the Stock Market
John Reilly
8:31
Sorry, missed the name/author.
Heather
8:31
Thanks! :)
Mentor Mike
8:23
Preston is talking about the ETSY 150 call for 2025 if the board is difficult to see
8:22
Yep!  TWLO 110 call, ASAN 40 call, ETSY 165 call.  You can obviously shop different strike prices especially since they have all dropped a bit with the market since last week when we entered
Heather
8:22
Is the third LEAP Preston bought for your birthday, ETSY? I have TWLO and ASAN written down but didn't hear the third one.
Mentor Mike
8:18
You could... the idea with the 2025 is you have over two years for the bull market to get marching again and these stocks to trend higher.  It just gives us plenty of time to recover from this bear market
Luanne
8:16
The Leaps could be purchased for the Jan. 2024 expiration too, correct?
Mentor Mike
8:10
We are trying to track down larger white board markers from the hotel... they provided the fine point little ones.  :-)
Kevin
8:09
It is a bit hard to see what Preston is writing on the board
Mentor Mike
8:09
Yep!
John Reilly
8:09
Basis is as of option purchase date, correct?
Mentor Mike
8:05
Yep!  Position size these LEAPs with the risk you are comfortable with.  Then if we get back to a bull market there is no question we will look at selling calls at times, but the main focus is the call growing in value
Gary
8:05
OK, I understand the margin reqt. Sounds like the answer is to buy calls when you are comfortable with the margin reqt. and the potential for loss.
Mentor Mike
8:01
You can sell calls against it right away if you want, but when you sell a strike price LOWER than what you own, there is a margin requirement.  For example, if you sell the 80 call and own the 100 call there would be a 2k margin requirement to cover the "risk" of selling at 80 and buying at 100
Gary
8:00
So if you buy the TWLO $100 call and over time it increases in value, at what value does it make sense to sell calls against it?
Mentor Mike
8:00
If you bought LEAPs in the money it would just be much more expensive/costly
Claudia
7:59
what happens if you buy these stock in the money
Mentor Mike
7:59
Sometimes on the option chain you need to change the settings to "All" or "More" so you can see more strike prices
Warren
7:59
Looking at options on Fidelity,  I do not see a strike a 110 strike the highest is 80 Jan 17, 25
Mentor Mike
7:51
No we don't buy puts... the way you control risk and your downside exposure is through position sizing it conservatively
Claudia
7:51
do you buy puts?
Mentor Mike
7:51
Awesome Dave and Mark!  Let's see how these LEAPS perform!
7:44
Has anyone on the live stream snatched up any 2025 Leaps yet?
