With Price's extension and prime coming right now, they have to reload, not rebuild.
I'm still against trading Pacioretty, but it seems like it'll happen eventually.
Just seems like his value is lowering every day.

Right now the UFA class has Tavares, Backlund, Stastny, Thornton.
Obviously those aren't all fits for Montreal, but there are certainly players that could help them.

I think Columbus has absolutely zero interest in trading Dubois.
I think it is complete pipe dream.
But, I also didn't think PK Subban was being traded for Shea Weber.

I think you'd have to move money out to acquire Green and Howard, even with Crawford's LTIR money.

And again, I don't think they'd take on a goalie with term.
I don't think Arizona will move Hjalmarsson until they're sure Ekman-Larsson won't re-sign.
They brought him there for that reason.

Nash is interesting because of his huge cap number, and real value as a speed/PK guy now. He's a secondary piece, so only teams that have real cap room would be willing to get him. He's earning a lot of real money too, which might rule out some clubs.
He's a tough fit.

Would a swap of LW Arturri  Lehkonen (Habs) to Minnesota for D Matt Dumba make any sense? Good God Montreal needs to do something, or is Bergevin to stubborn to admit complete failure.

I think they'd still like to add another forward to the mix, similar to the Eaves add last year.

Have to think they'll only make minor additions. The way they're playing right now they are legit contenders even with so many young players in their lineup.
A veteran add could help, but getting Spooner playing is their big addition.
