I'm not sure anyone has ever suggested that Patrick Maroon is the key piece to get a team into the playoffs before.
I think more than anything, Carolina just needs more patience.
That team is coming together, and will make it at some point, even if it's not this year.

The Jets have a few different options that could be perfect for the Penguins, and I've been pointing at Adam Lowry for months and wondering if he'd be moved.

Well, there's no telling what the price will be just yet but I doubt the Predators add the big name like Kane.

That's probably the biggest decision the Coyotes have in the next few weeks.

But remember that goaltender trades aren't often that rewarding at the deadline. There aren't many teams looking to install a new starter halfway through the year--Islanders excluded--who are also in a playoff race.
If the return isn't very much, maybe they take him to the end of the year trying to get him locked up.
