This draft is very top heavy. A ton of blue chippers in the first half of the first round, but it wouldn't be called a deep draft.

So, perhaps they could go all-in if they get some top-20 picks.
But the Rangers don't seem interested in that route.
They'll draft and develop, sure. But they want young players to contribute right away

They're definitely still poking around. I wouldn't be surprised with a move, but the fact that they're confident Tolvanen is going to come over might just stay Poile's hand.
I mean, adding Fisher and Tolvanen is a pretty good trade deadline isn't it?

That was his best chance at a qualifying offer though. The Red Wings may have made him a lot of money

Hey Gavin - thanks for the chat.  I think if a Karlsson trade happens I would be a huge mistake to try and include Bobby Ryan's contract.  How much do you think it would lower the return Ottawa could potentially get?
