What can the Ducks get for Vatanen before the Expansion Draft? He seems to be the odd man out. They would still have Lindholm, Fowler, Manson, Montour, Theodore, and Despres (has been skating recently and should be back by next season).

In all seriousness, Vatanen could be the centerpiece in a big forward get for the Ducks.
The thing is, as I talked about above, trading a guy before the expansion draft isn't as easy as it looks.
You can only do it with a team that has an extra defender slot open in their protection scheme

That rules out a lot of the teams that actually want defense.

I think it's more likely that the Ducks make a deal with Vegas, and then open the bidding on some defenders after the draft.

Honestly I don't see them going after many of the bigger free agents, or really swinging any big trades. That's a really, really good team that has a chance to go far again next year.
