Chayka has been very clear that he likes that Smith lets his young players have a chance every night. He's not alone in the idea that good goaltending helps develop young players in the NHL.

Look up! He could be used in a deal for basically any of the forwards on the market.
Vatanen has a ton of value around the league.

If I'm a Drouin fan (I am). How concerned am I the Lightning haven't started contract talks with him? Petrified they're going to do a panic deal and overpay for a D Man and move Drouin.

If they got a 2Center like Duchene, they could move Kesler and Cogliano into 3rd Line have Getzlaf, Perry, Rakell, Silfverberg, 2Center, and Ritchie/Kase.

They'd have to give up Benn, or something. I don't know. It's just not happening.

If they truly need to move him before the expansion draft, this is around where they'll probably have to land.

Ducks fans might say it's not enough, while Toronto fans may say it's too much.
But it's close to where both sides could be happy.

Howden would probably have the best chance, because he can't go to the AHL.
That's not to say he's ready though.

Hi I saw someone already asked about if you think oshie will resign with the capitals but if he did resign what kind of deal do you think he would get ? Also there was a report that a deal was all but done was that a fake report ?

I think if he went out and started playing clubs against one another, he could probably squeeze out six or seven years. But if it's with the Caps, I'd say 5 at ~$6.5MM. That's expensive when you have all those RFAs to sign.

So, Russo just came out and said he's been told that Haggerty is wrong, and that their isn't talk.
But I do think the Bruins have likely had discussions about it, at least at some point.
