Zacha has boatloads of potential. I really like him as a breakout candidate this year.
6:54
I'm not even sold that Quenneville is an NHL player at all, but he definitely has that boom/bust profile.
He can do magic stuff with the puck.
6:55
Wood, now he's a tricky one. He should be racking up points wherever he goes because of his talent, but sometimes I find him drifting in places he shouldn't be.
He's big, skilled and can do some good stuff but I'm not sure what to think on his future just yet.
6:56
One thing to note is that Michael McLeod definitely impressed me the other day.
His skating ability is going to make him a long-time NHL player, even if his ceiling isn't as high as you'd like from a top-12 pick.

Did the Ducks do enough this off season to put them in position to win a Cup this year?  Appreciate the insight..
Gavin Lee
6:58
I think they were good enough to win had some things gone differently last year.
I've said in the past that bringing back Eaves is a risky move, but getting Miller as a backup is really nice.
Still this question...

Do you view Rakell as a center or a winger? Which one do you think he ends up playing?
Gavin Lee
6:58
Is an important one moving forward for them.
6:59
He's definitely found success as a winger, but I'd still be tempted to see if he can drive a line by himself in the middle.
7:00
I think he's talented enough, but it's more to do with how the Ducks want to deploy their offense.

I hope this chat grows bc you're cool but honestly I wouldn't mind it staying small like this.  It's great getting questions answered, thank you.  In what range do you put Scott Stevens on the all time great dman list?  Also, do you feel brodeur is the best ever, 2nd best ever, just top 5?
Gavin Lee
7:00
Well thank you I also think you're cool.
7:01
Questions like these get me in trouble with people.
But I think Stevens is up there among the very best to ever play. People forget that he transitioned from an exceptional offensive talent to a game-changing defensive presence.
7:02
The guy had 72 points one year. Granted it was the 80s...
7:03
And Brodeur, I think he's top 5.
I have it:

Hasek
Roy
Brodeur
But so much has changed in the way goaltending is done now, that all-time rankings are silly to do for the position.
7:06
But seriously, how can Hasek not be the best. He was suspended for a year from a roller hockey league, so came back to the NHL and still put up a .925 (and won a Cup).

Assuming current rosters, what do the Pacific standings look like at season's end?  Thanks!
Gavin Lee

Tough one that I'll end on.

How much hate mail will I get for putting McDavid third...
7:10
That's it folks, thanks for taking part in another one. I'll be back next week. For now, there is football tonight! If you're a fan of the NFL check out ProFootballRumors, where those guys can tell you everything there is to know about third line centers on the Jaguars.
7:11
Hey, if you're planning on drafting Fournette in your fantasy leagues..you just might want to know that stuff.
Have a good night.
(Uhh..hockey brain. Third-string, not line)
