Extending McDavid was as much a marketing play as anything. Not like he could have pushed for more next summer. He could have asked for $15MM and they would have had to do it.

I don't think they'll make a trade or signing, and I don't think that Sam Steel will make the squad but that's the name everyone will point to.

Jacob Larsson may surprise in camp or be forced in because of the injuries to Lindholm/Vatanen.
He's another really good looking prospect, that people should be excited about

Robert and others are the dedicated ones that keep it going even in the slow months.

No. I think it'll take more than that.
But I've written this before, that Jagr is still quite capable.
He can help a lot of teams.

I think it says more about Anderson than the others.
He's further along than I thought he was, and could be ready to be an impact player right from the start.

What do you expect from the Flyers this season?  They have a core of veterans and a bunch of youth.  Giroux and Ghost both had down years but started playing more like themselves at seasons end as they were both recovering from the same surgery.  And Couturier started to resemble the two-way player he was expected to be late in the season.  Ibviuously goaltending is a big question mark.

I think they'd just do it in the summer then. LTIR can be used now as well, it's just a bit trickier.
