Hard to say the most, but teams like Vancouver, Colorado, Florida, etc that can take a homerun cut on a player should do it.
There is still talent there, but no guarantee it'll ever come out again.

What do you think of Vegas using their cap space to buy the upcoming trade deadline contracts that teams might want to shed? Maybe Tatar/Nyqvist from DET at a deep discount?

I imagine if they're going to use the cap space it'll be on albatross contracts, not ones that are just a little bad.

They'll want to get assets back with the salary dump, not give up any futures.

In a vacuum, for sure trade him now to maximize value. But San Jose believes they can compete, and teams like to have two goaltenders.
If Jones goes down in the first round, isn't it nice to turn to Dell?

It's not like he'd bring in a really big asset in trade. Easier to move him to a team that wants to sign him as a starter after the season, but before free agency.

I said Tampa right away, and haven't changed my mind yet.
Drouin is a really good offensive talent, but I still see first-pairing potential in Sergachev.
You don't find that anywhere.

The big power St. Louis has is that they can take on a bit of money over the next few years.

He still has those assets from the Hamonic deal. They are armed and ready, if they feel Tavares is staying.

They might add something small for this year, but it's a slow burn for the Devils. They are ahead of schedule but won't rush it.

I still do think they sell off some assets, but probably not Neal at this point.
