Pavelec's deal is expected to be one-year at $1.3 million. (Wiebe)
Gavin Lee
9:57
Yep.
Matt
9:57
Duchenes been traded to Pittsburgh if you didn't know already
Gavin Lee
9:57
Where is this from?
Matt
9:58
Bob McKenzie
Gavin Lee
9:59
I can't find it, so I'm going to wait on that one.
Gerald
9:59
Kevin weekes reporting Shattenkirk has signed with the Rangers 4 years 6.9 per year
Gavin Lee
9:59
Yeah, mentioned above.
Again I'm waiting a bit, but that would certainly be a big move.
Chris

Nothing about Duchene on Twitter, yet.
Nothing on Bob McKenzie's Twitter feed.
Gavin Lee
9:59
Right.

Kessel stuff from local sports radio station.

I love Sergachev but gotta give to get right? Alzner is a much better player than Emelin and if they get Markov back, it's an upgraded D core as a whole with Weber, Markov, Alzner, Benn, Petry, Schlemko and Davidson.
Gavin Lee
10:00
Definitely, just poking fun. Drouin deal was a nice move for them.
10:01
It's upgraded for sure, but

Weber, Markov, Beaulieu, Petry, Benn, Schlemko, Davidson I think is just as good and cheaper.

What do the Pens need to add to three-peat? Obviously add a dman...
Gavin Lee
10:02
Depth D, maybe a bottom-six center.
Getting Kris Letang back will help.
Joe aragona
10:02
Do you think taveras signs long term what will is cap be.
Gavin Lee
10:02
Yes, $11MM
Rob
10:02
What's the price in term and value for the wild to sign Granlund and Nino?
Gavin Lee
10:02
Hard to predict because salary goes up if buying out more years.
10:03
But I think Granlund gets a long-term deal, and Nino a shorter.
Joe aragona
10:03
When do you think islanders move to a new arena. In belmont.
Gavin Lee
10:03
Hopefully by 2019, but nothing is certain yet.
Matt

Gavin Lee
10:03
Just check the handle there Matt.
Matt
10:04
My bad, sorry was a false account
Gavin Lee
10:04
No worries. We all get taken sometimes.
Marty
10:04
Gavin are you a fan of any these teams?  Or you're so objective now you've lost it?
Gavin Lee
10:05
I'm definitely still partial to a certain team, but try to be as objective as possible in my writing.
Doing this work has definitely given me more insight and appreciation for the whole league.

In 2019 what player will break the bank for next summer
Gavin Lee
10:06
I'm not exactly sure what this means.
But next summer, Tavares, Price etc. Then Doughty, Karlsson the year after.
Paul
10:07
Any chance Brooks Orpik could be moved to clear cap space?
Gavin Lee
10:07
I thought there might be a chance he was bought out this week, but I guess not.
Maybe they'll wait for a second window (should they get one) for it
