I think they probably could have given up what Arizona paid and not really felt it, to be honest.
But Hall isn't the only talented forward available. Maybe they just didn't see the fit, or didn't like that he's not negotiating
They'll add, probably to both sides of the puck.

I don't know what he wants, but if he hung up his skates no one would blame him at this point. His game has deteriorated, even if he's still fun to watch.

DeAngelo is lighting it up in New York. What is the chances he keeps this pace up until the end of the season? Is he a future #1 D in the making?

No, he's not a #1D.
He's having an incredible year and should get a huge reward for it.
But I can't ever really see him as a true #1.

The same way that I don't really see Morgan Rielly as a true #1, or Keith Yandle as a true #1
Even though they put up a ton of points and are excellent, excellent players.
I don't know if DeAngelo can even get to that level, but I hope he does for the Rangers' sake
