He is an outstanding player. I think he can be the scorer that Rick Nash was, with more positional and defensive flexibility. The only thing is there is a touch of Quinton Byfield in him, in that sometimes he doesn't find success in ways that will immediately translate to the NHL.

Thanks for doing the chat!  From the outside, the canucks hiring tocchet is a head scratcher.  I like the idea of building an eastern style team in the pacific but they have to turnover at least half of the roster to get there and they are capped out with few prospects... Should have kept Boudreau for a west coast team, methinks.  Agree?

Hiring Tocchet was a head-scratcher to me too, I don't really know why they made the move at this point, instead of considering all candidates in the summer.
I guess maybe they thought they wouldn't be able to win a bidding war for him if there were others – or really that the room was in such disarray that it couldn't wait
I'm not sure about the east-west stuff, I'd have to think about that a little more closely (and I'm not even totally sure what you mean by it)

Well it's never really a problem to have 3 centers, but there has been a few whispers growing that maybe they will look to cash in on Chytil before his incoming payday
