The one thing about potentially not keeping him is that they do have Hofer coming
Binnington's price tag will mean he's on the roster and getting starts no matter what

Again I think a lot of people aren't exactly understanding the relevance of the trade deadline being so far into the season this year. The Maple Leafs actually have a good little bit of cap space with Ritchie buried at the moment.
Not saying they can go crazy, but they don't necessarily need to move out a big number to bring in someone
