I'm not a fan of overreacting to a small sample size, but I saw some technique things that really concerned me with Yaroslav Askarov at the WJC. Any serious concern about him on your end or is his still one of the best goalie prospects we've seen in recent history?

He has been outstanding since the World Juniors, where we should remember that he was much younger than the competition.
I have no concern over him as a top goalie prospect, I just don't believe that the career of a goalie can be judged all that effectively when they are 17.

I believe the Flames were working the phones hard, but you can't trade a defenseman right now.
They still have a little while to make a decision though.

The thing is they were already wondering about adding a different kind of defenseman (probably one with a little bit of an edge) and that's not what their prospect defensemen have.
Bringing up Jake Bean doesn't really change the look of your back end

It was a hard cross-check to the throat-face area. It's ugly when you watch the slow-motion
But I mean I don't know if it's a suspension. I honestly don't, either way.

I think Ottawa is trying to hold out for that Kevin Hayes package, but I don't think they'll get it
Pageau is the best rental center on the market though, so they can try to set the price
