Hi Gavin, do you think we see Stone before the end of the season? Vegas has said their drs have no idea what is causing his discomfort or is this just a way to get around the cap and have a healthy Stone, Eichel and Pax for the playoffs? Ala Tampa last year

I just don't think Vegas wants to sit Stone for the rest of the year. I don't think this was a plot to beat the salary cap

If Toronto makes it out of the first round it will mean they've beaten a really good team. If they lose, I don't really buy the "Dubas has his job riding on a playoff series win" thing

Chance for a Tampa 3-peat? Not that I want to see it, so much as giving credit where it is due. They didn't significantly have an exodus of talent after the last win, so you have to at least not bet against them?

I wouldn't want to face them in the first round, even if they're not the top seed

Vasilveskiy is the difference maker here. At any point, he can win a series for them.
Has their D taken a bit of a step back? Yes.
Have they lost a bit of that 3rd line magic? Yes.
But they still have Vasy.
