Love watching the rebuild in Ottawa. Fun to watch and love the coach. Playing hard. Stutzle is pretty good. Any thoughts on them?
Gavin Lee
6:17
They've looked so much better the last half dozen games. Buying into a "we're not as talented but we'll outwork you every night" mentality.
6:18
Stuetzle looks like the real deal, though I worry a little bit about his decision making still
All the talent is there
You can tell that he is used to playing against pros
Josh Norris should be getting more press than he is

Any players u expect to come over from Europe to help down the stretch or gets some NHL time? Thinking Lundkvist  Seider ?
Gavin Lee
6:19
There will certainly be some players that come over, whether to just practice with the teams or get into some games down the stretch.
Seider is a good example I would think
6:20
Hopefully something changes and the AHL is able to hold some sort of playoff, because that's where a lot of European prospects first cut their teeth in North America

If eichel did want out, who could take that cap hit with the way teams stand financially?
Gavin Lee
6:20
There aren't a ton of teams, are there
That's what makes it difficult
6:21
But when you're getting a player like Eichel, you can make room.
The Rangers are the one that everyone will talk about
6:22
Fox, Miller, Chytil, Shesterkin, Kakko all coming quick
Better make sure you can fit everything together.
Mike

following dostol. Numbers are insane. Real deal? Room to move Gibson and get a kings ransom?
Gavin Lee
6:23
He seems like the real deal, yes. But nothing is sure with goaltenders until they do it in the NHL.
I have started to wonder about Gibson's future in Anaheim because of it
It doesn't have to happen right away
6:24
But if you feel he's ready at some point in the next year, year and a half, you have to see what the market is for Gibson, right?
Ron Duguay
6:24
Hey, Gavin.  What kind of realistic deal can the Rangers make to inject some life into their squad despite the circumstances of the pandemic (i.e. trading with Canada) and that moves teams have limited cap room?
Gavin Lee
6:24
It's funny, everyone will talk about Eichel, but I wonder if they'd try to add Hall this season.
6:25
If they get anywhere close, he could give them a punch to really start the "winning tradition" even if it doesn't result in much playoff success
Ron Duguay
6:26
RE Hall, what kind of return would Buffalo expect?  Also, another LW?
Gavin Lee
6:26
The LW thing is a problem for sure, with how they've built it in New York. But you could probably make it work still for a short period
The return on Hall is going to be fascinating, provided they do trade him.
Last year with New Jersey I didn't think they got a very good haul, and now it would be even less.
6:27
I'm not a huge Kevin Bahl fan, the 1st was lottery protected, and Merkley/Schnarr aren't needle movers
6:28
And that trade happened in December, when there was a lot more runway for Hall in Arizona
I honestly don't even know if he would cost a 1st this time around.

has Keller found his grove? Playing very well since last years playoffs
Gavin Lee
6:29
His coach has spoken very highly of him recently, since a little bit of a public callout earlier in the year.
The thing about Keller is that even when he looks great, he's still not actually producing that much offense.
6:30
Not that 10 points in 15 games is bad, but it's still not the dominant team-leading force that he was supposed to be.
Shane Doan
6:31
Should I submit my CV for other jobs, or look for a home in Houston given the never ending drama with my Coyotes?
Gavin Lee
6:31
Boy isn't that disappointing. Bringing back Doan should have been a big celebration
But it's been completely lost
Burkie
6:32
Should I really consider a deal for Jonathan Quick, who has been very good lately?
