On Georgiev, to be clear it's not any source I have. The Fourth Period guys wrote about some teams discussing him or at least kicking the tires.
I don't think he's really "in demand" but teams know there is still potential there

Of all the GMs in the league, Doug Armstrong may be the most willing to move pending UFAs even with a chance at the playoffs
He's done it many times before
If someone offers him enough for Schwartz, I think he would pull the trigger
Same with Bozak and Hoffman

Has there been any discussion regarding Hall’s willingness to waive his NMC? Have to imagine he wants out of Buffalo (would be concerning if he didn’t) ... it seems like everyone just assumes he will be traded but he really controls the process.

I do not believe he has been formally asked to waive it yet, but I think there is an understanding that he will waive it to go to a contender
Remember that he is also playing for his next contract
Moving to a good team is his best chance at rebuilding that value right now

I said in my last chat, I'd let the outgoing GM do it and then bring in someone else to have a fresh start. Don't make a new GM trade Jack Eichel as his first move and have that hanging over his head the whole time.
I know that kind of sounds counter productive and silly
but they need to somehow get a clean slate there.

Importantly here, Tortorella does not have a contract past this season. There have been lots of indicators that an extension would get done in the past, but now that it hasn't and things have turned sideways, I think he leaves in the summer.

Maybe I'm wrong and they believe he can turn it around again--he is a good coach, there is no doubting that.
For Laine, a new coach would certainly change the equation, but it honestly always felt like Columbus was a short-term stop for him anyway.
