Gavin Lee

Then back filling with some more experienced bottom-sixers
6:50
Robert Thomas had three goals and 12 points. That's not good. but he also only played 13:36
6:51
Of the regular forwards, he averaged the eighth most even strength ice time.
6:52
Tied with Sammy Blais, behind Zach Sanford and Mike Hoffman
I actually missed Kyrou, so ninth
6:53
Anyway the point is, I think those kids will surprise you if given a bigger chance
I wouldn't necessarily be jumping to bring back Schwartz, Bozak, Hoffman
John Davidson
6:54
Oh boy, what a mess with Seth Jones. Where can I send him and what would that return even look like? And should I include Patrick Laine in that discussion (and same thing)?
Gavin Lee
6:55
The return will be substantial, don't doubt that. If he's willing, and you play it essentially like free agency a year early, meaning his representatives are allowed to shop around and sign an extension with whoever is buying, it'll be a huge package
6:56
If he's committed to waiting (which of course is logically the thing to do, you don't want your new team giving up a pile of assets as you arrive), then it will be much lower
6:57
Even with an extension for instance, Stone landed Brannstrom and a 2nd.
That was seen as a pretty hefty underpayment by the Golden Knights at the time (and likely still now)
6:58
I think you're looking at much more than that with an extension, or maybe something around there without
In terms of Laine, yes. If it were me, if I'm trading Jones I'm trading Laine too
7:00
That goes for Domi (though that's probably a deadline deal because of the surgery), and at least one of the goalies too
Spaceman
7:00
Boston going to start a refresh, or continue with their older cog players……especially Rask….
Gavin Lee
7:01
If Rask is back, it'll be as a tandem piece for a much lower cap hit I think.
Swayman + a veteran off the market is enough to go with
Vladar there too
I don't think they will be pressured to pay up for Rask
A refresh is a good way to put it
7:02
I've said it for weeks, and I don't mean to dance on the grave at this point, but the window with that old core I think has closed
7:03
I have a hard time believing that the Bruins will be better next season
With a 36 year old Bergeron on his final year
Okay everyone that's it! Thanks for another great chat
Let's hope for an Avalanche win tonight so we can have a game 7
