I've wondered this myself recently.

He's 67 now and still very well liked by the owners.

But will he want to do it past 70? I don't have any insight into that, but you would think that it won't be SO long until another commissioner is brought up.

How many "big ticket" players do you think one team can have and still have depth? Also, what is the max you'd pay a goalie? 10M seems like a bad idea.

Obviously the goalie question has a lot of variables.

I don't think I would go as high as $10M, but if you sat me in a room with Carey Price and the alternative was--well, losing Carey Price, I might be inclined to hand him a blank check anyway.

I think you should want to be paying your tandem somewhere around $10 at the current cap ceiling.

If that means one guy takes the whole shot, then you're going to be dealing with a very young or very inexperienced (or both) backup
