There are lots more stories of talented guys moving to their second team and just kinda fading away, than ones like Bennett who thrive.

Pens fan ... who knows the playoff streak is ending ... I loved what the Rangers did off-season. Hard to let Buchnevich goals go, but allowed them to sign Fox, extend Z and the toughness acquired makes them a sticky team to play against with top notch goaltending. What can they do to get better?
Gavin Lee
6:17
I don't love their offseason quite as much as you, but you're right that they're looking pretty good.
6:18
I'm still a little worried about the young guys and how they're developing/deploying them, Lafreniere, Kaako and Chytil in particular, but that defense group is going to be so good, for so long.
It's the kind of team where you just can't make a mistake, because those D are going to turn it the other way so fast.
6:19
How can they get better? Stronger play from Georgiev or a more reliable backup is one, but otherwise they need a little bit more out of the forward group past the top few
6:20
Blais' injury is tough and I just keep thinking about how well Jesper Fast would still look with this group

Love the chat! How many games do you have time to watch each week?!
Gavin Lee
6:21
I watch the games live pretty much every night, and will rewatch select broadcasts or highlights in the morning. Only time I don't have at least one game on a screen in the evening is when I'm on the ice myself.

Have you seen something different out if the last 5 games of the blues… losing in the last couple minutes
Gavin Lee
6:23
I don't think it's a stretch you need to worry about really, but there is a little bit of the Brandon Saad disease affecting the whole team right now, I find. By that I mean, an excellent player who creates outstanding chances but is pretty inefficient with them.
6:24
In the long run, I think they'll still probably be competing for that third spot in the Central.
And then obviously the wildcards, but there's still a chance at that divisional playoff spot.

How bad is the Canucks PK?
Gavin Lee
6:24
Really bad

6:25
Detroit going to stick with Blashill for the long haul? Team seem to be responding now finally?
Gavin Lee
6:25
Well part of that is the team actually has talent now
But I think Blashill is probably going to end up being the coach that gets replaced right before they're contenders
6:26
Not to say he's a bad coach or anything, I've just seen this movie before

Chicago on a mini roll is Dach a legit top centre in the future?
Gavin Lee
6:29
I do think he can be a first-line option, yes. All of the tools, including hockey sense and decision making, are there for Dach
6:30
There's certainly a chance that he tops out at that Duchene-in-Colorado level, but I still like Dach a lot

Sammy Blais' season-ending injury is another in a long line of injuries caused by PK Subban, who is well known for his slew-footing antics. Why is he always let off the hook by the DPS? Why hasn't he been suspended?
Gavin Lee
6:31
For what it's worth, I don't think the Blais one in particular was a slewfoot
But there should have been a suspension earlier, I agree

Which teams are still in on Tarasenko?  If the blues are still in playoff picture, and a trade were to materialize during season, what does the trade look like?  The Blues obviously will want back elite NHL talent that is currently performing as well.
Gavin Lee
6:32
Don't be so sure of that last point. Remember the Stastny (Erik Foley and two draft picks) and Shattenkirk (Malone, Sanford and two picks) deals.
The Blues weren't in a rebuild then, but they still moved expiring assets for futures.
6:33
I'm not entirely convinced Tarasenko is going to be traded this year though. It could very well happen in the summer
As for who is still interested? Who knows, I don't think those talks are ongoing.
6:34
But there's one clear thing about Doug Armstrong. If he believes a move will improve the program--not just this season--he will make it without worrying about player legacies or anything.
6:35
Bringing in Faulk and extending him was another example. He was making a move that he believed was helping the Blues program, no matter if it upset Pietrangelo or not
(which there have been kind of conflicting reports on anyway)

If Arizona can’t get a deal done for new rink, what city would be on their radar
Gavin Lee
6:36
Honestly, that question can't really be answered, because the ownership group that has them now is committed to that area.
I think relocation would really have to be an NHL-sanctioned sale as well, which means it really opens up to anywhere
6:37
By that I mean--a normal sale comes with a clause prohibiting relocation, so the new owners couldn't just bail and give the Coyotes to someone who wants to move them.
It would have to be worked out with the NHL, and they are loathe to move out of Arizona. They have worked so hard to keep them there
6:38
I think in the end, they'll get an arena deal worked out in some fashion. Whether it's extending their current lease or getting the bid in Tempe

Who’s the most likely of Golden Knights to go when all their guys get healthy? Feel like Smith is such a big part of PK and team in general it’s be tough to move on from him. I could see Dadonov and McNabb
