There's been lots of talk about Ben Chiarot, I know that might not be the guy you really expect, but there will be a lot of interest for a big, mean, defenseman like that on an expiring deal.
Guys like Lindholm would be the "best" if they end up available, but there's lots of time before those decisions are made

I wrote before the season about how the Kraken had put themselves in a bad situation in regards to waivers, and I'm not sure why they haven't even addressed it at all.

Losing Bastian shouldn't be acceptable. I know he's not a game-changer, but there's no reason it had to happen at this point.
I've been very disappointed by that management group so far, even though I didn't hate their draft

I would never rule out a pro sports team taking a chance on a player with a, we'll say, checkered past.
If they believe it will help their on-ice product, they'll do it.

Imagine you could get Kane for half price, without giving up any legitimate assets? Can't you see some fans buying into that?

I mean the trade that took him to the Soo years ago was for two players and six draft picks. Even though he hadn't at all been a dominant player, everyone could see the possibility back then
