What is your take on the Bill Peters situation? It appears inevitable that he is fired. How long will this investigation take? Will he ever coach again?

I have almost no idea how long the situation will last. As far as I know the morality clause in a coach's contract has never been used in the NHL to fire someone.
I believe he will eventually be fired.
I have a hard time seeing any team re-hiring him

Really no idea on either front. I think Montreal and Colorado will be front-runners if he's made available.
Whoever acquires him will get a crack at signing him, but I have no idea where it'll take him in free agency if he gets there.

I'm not sure what kind of addition they could make to fix it, but David Poile is ALWAYS in the conversations around the league.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them make an addition, but that Turris contract might have to go.

So what is going on with Marc-Edward Vlassic?  He has always struggled with any partner other than Braun, but he has been uncharacteristically problematic this year.  It's almost as though there is a question of where he is supposed to be - is it a coach/system issue?  Or is he just getting old?

I actually think there have been glimpses of a turnaround for Vlasic recently.

One thing that you always have to worry about with a player who is largely one dimensional, is that if that slips at all it can be a very precipitous decline.
I'd still bet on him being a contributor, but you might just have to accept that he's not a top option anymore.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if he went with another young coach like when John Cooper was hired.
Bring him along and develop him with the group.
Not sure who that will be.

Agreed - though against the Jets he was down low guarding nobody along with two back checkers doing the same.  Unsurprisingly the Jets scored.  That's the type of thing that makes me wonder
