What would the Kings get for Toffoli? Is a 1st and a B-level prospect too big of an ask?
Gavin Lee
6:23
Interesting that these two bring up the same package speculation.
6:24
No doubt they'll be targets for the same teams, and potentially bring packages like that.
There are lots of people who still believe in Tyler Toffoli
Rick
6:26
Who would you rather have for their career: Jake Guentzel or Clayton Keller?
Gavin Lee
6:26
I'll still take Keller.
But Guentzel is an excellent player.
Steve
6:26
Supposing the Jets want Brassard... What are the Pens getting in return?
Gavin Lee
6:27
Not as much as the Pens had to pay, but still a fair bit because of how cheap he is. I don't think he is just given away by the Penguins, even if it hasn't been a fit.
The Jets first isn't worth a whole ton, as it's going to be 25+ probably.
Duncan Keith
6:28
What kind of return would I get?
Gavin Lee
6:29
Probably not as much as Blackhawks fans would be happy with.
He's 35 and on a long contract still.
Anyone taking him would probably need to move money out, and then there would be a nice sweetener--probably a young player.

Whats nashville got going on? Personally hoping they pull the trigger on Burakovsky and The Wayne Train as well
Gavin Lee
6:30
They'll be right in the mix for nearly everyone at the deadline.
That organization can afford to make a mistake at the deadline and they know it.
They'll add.
Todd
6:31
What’s the next move for the Stars?
Gavin Lee
6:31
Sounds like they're trying to change the structure of their bottom-six
Not necessarily go big at the deadline, but just shake things up.
Rick
6:31
Will the Blues trade Jake Allen? I still can’t accept that he can’t be a top 10-12 goalie. Imagine him behind the Hurricanes defense!
Gavin Lee
6:31
Jake Allen certainly has the ability to be an excellent goaltender.
6:32
I have never seen him put it together for a long stretch though.
If they trade him, I imagine it would be in the offseason.

6:33
What assets do you think that the Bruins would be willing to move to add a 2nd line winger, or 3rd line centre?
Gavin Lee
6:33
Their draft picks are in play I would think, after seemingly hitting on some recent ones. But I am still not sold they'll go after the big fish after last season.
6:34
There are always Torey Krug rumors too, but I don't think they want to do that if they can avoid it
TK
6:34
If the Sabres were to make Skinner available (assuming they decide they can't resign him and continue to slide) what would he fetch?
Gavin Lee
6:35
He would probably get more than the Sabres gave up for him.
Which is amazing.
But there is lots of interest from both sides in getting something done
Artemi Panarin
6:36
Will I sign a contract or am I on the move?
Gavin Lee
6:36
On the move I would guess, but in the offseason, not the deadline.
Rick
6:36
How do the Bruins live with the knowledge that they had 3 straight 1st round picks in 2015 and only one (DeBrusk) is in the NHL. And the 3 picks immediately after them were Barzal, Connor, and Chabot. That’s a tough pill to swallow!
Gavin Lee
6:36
Tough for sure, but teams make mistakes every year in the draft.
6:37
Remember that Dallas took Denis Gurianov right before those three Boston picks.
Paul Fenton
6:38
Will Jason Zucker rebound and perform similar to last year? Or was last year an aberration and he is actually a half a point per game player?
Gavin Lee
6:39
It wouldn't be shocking to see him put up 60 points again at some point in his career, but I think he's closer to the 45-50 mark most seasons.
He's a good player, they shouldn't quit on him just yet.
