Think they're more an offseason team to watch, given they still have that glut of defensemen.
Zac
6:48
What metro team makes the most moves (playoff team)
Gavin Lee
6:48
Between now and the deadline? I'll say the Blue Jackets.
Non playoff, probably the Rangers.
Ron Duguay
6:49
Hey, Gavin.  Aside from the Rangers 3 UFA that are always discussed, any chance that they deal a player with term left like Vesey or Fast, or <fingers crossed> one of the other veteran defensemen?  Thanks.
Gavin Lee
6:49
Yes, I've thought all season that Vesey is a good candidate for trade. He never seems to get mentioned as you note.
6:50
Don't think Staal or Smith, who you are probably referring to, get moved.

6:50
There are normally around 40 trades in the last week, so far this week only 3.  Are there going to be 37 trades in 3 days?
Gavin Lee
6:50
Very possibly. Lots of minor moves will go down this weekend and on Monday to bump that number.
Jon
6:51
Duchene for Tolvanen and a 2019 1st?
Gavin Lee
6:52
You would imagine that if Nashville lands one of the big names, Tolvanen will have to be involved.
Pawtucket
6:52
Who will the first goalie traded? And to whom?
Gavin Lee
6:52
First goalie traded when? We've already seen several move.
6:53
There's a chance that Howard, Miller, Anderson could all go as veteran backups
I'd watch for Vegas in the goalie market.
Zac
6:53
Are you surprised DSP made it through waivers?
Gavin Lee
6:54
Not really. He hasn't been very good.
Al
6:54
Silfverberg deal, good/bad? Do the ducks make any impactful deadline deals now?
Gavin Lee
6:54
I really don't understand it, to be perfectly honest.
6:55
I like Silfverberg as a player, but there's no reason that team needed to lock him in.
ATX King
6:55
Can the Kings land another 1st?
Gavin Lee
6:56
Yes. Toffoli or Martinez could land it from the right team. It would probably be late though.
Ron Duguay
6:56
Have the Senators played the market horribly by waiting this late to deal their stars, or do they have deals lined up in case Stone and Dzingel do not re-sign?
Gavin Lee
6:56
There never seems to be a downside to waiting.
6:57
Deadline deals are still big, and if they were actually trying to re-sign them they needed the time.
Ray
6:57
As a Houston sports fan kind of hoping to land a team at some point...what do you think the odds are of a team ever relocating here? And what potential teams, do you think?
Gavin Lee
6:58
I would think it's up there among the top contenders for any relocation.
That said, the NHL fights long and hard before allowing that to happen
6:59
The usual suspects--Ottawa, Florida come to mind--would be the most likely right now, but I'd still say it's unlikely overall.
Back to back
6:59
Are the pens done or does gmjr have another deal in the works
Gavin Lee
6:59
He certainly doesn't sound like he's pushing for one.
7:00
But don't ever trust Jim Rutherford around trade season.
Paul
7:00
If the B's went big....Stone or Panarin.  Could they do it without including Debrusk or McAvoy?
Gavin Lee
7:00
There's definitely a way they could do it, yes.
But it would cost several assets.
7:01
After already using Donato and spending so heavily last season, I still don't think they're going to do it.
Jim
7:01
What would it take for the bruins to add Dzingel?
Gavin Lee
7:01
This however could be a more reasonable add.
I'm not convinced that Dzingel would cost a first rounder, so something like a second and mid-tier prospect isn't out of the question.

Heard Hoffman is available, is his value bad after the Ottawa tweets issue last year
