If they don't win a cup it's not because they're not good enough to win a cup.
They don't necessarily need to add.
They also probably can't add a lot after signing Point.
But there will be moves to be made (Callahan, Killorn maybe) if they need to clear some room.

Gavin we both dislike the concept of own rentals but it has gotten out of hand.  I am supposed to believe Columbus also acquired Bob and Panarin because they were supposed to be traded.  How did we move so far away from reality?  You can't acquire players that are already on your team.

Agreed. They did not acquire those players.
The idea is that if Columbus didn't have Panarin and Bob, you'd be okay with them trading future assets for them

It's pretty incredible that you can go ten straight years with at least 20 goals, and then score 5.
Part of it is definitely fit, but part of it is also the fact that Neal has a 4.1% shooting percentage.
If he had 11 goals through 55, it wouldn't look so bad.
I'd still love to have him on my team for the postseason.

Thoughts on guhle’s first week as a duck? My layman’s opinion is that he’s pretty on par with what Montour was bringing to the table. Would love your take on what you’ve seen and what you expect? Thanks!

Guhle is a good player, and will be an NHL defenseman for sure.
He doesn't have nearly the same ceiling that Montour presents.
I don't really understand that deal, but it's not like Guhle is a scrub.
