The ideal outcome: A young girl notices Hilary Knight on TV doing an All-Star appearance and wants to emulate her. Not only does she pick up hockey and attempt to become one of the best women in the world at the sport, but she also attends/watches/buys merchandise of the men's league the whole way through, given how easily their content is consumed.
I don't know how it will all end up, but I do hope these women find a place to play eventually.

% chance Datsyuk is in a wings uniform next year?
Gavin Lee
6:23
I still believe it is an extremely low chance.
I think he's going back to Yekaterinburg before sailing off into the sunset

Any chance the Rangers trade lundqvist  and go with the 2 Russian goalies next season?
Gavin Lee
6:23
Still don't believe they would move him, or that he would want to be moved.
6:24
Lundqvist is more than just a player on the Rangers, he's a New York brand
Two more years on his deal, full no-move.
I think it just runs its course

Any updates/timeline for Pavelski and Donskoi?
Gavin Lee
6:25
He was on the ice for the first time yesterday, but they're still taking it very slow on Pavelski.
Don't think there is a definitive timeline.
6:26
Donskoi didn't travel with them to Denver and I'm not sure when he'll be back either.
Sounded closer though

What are your thoughts on the Sharks vs. Avs series so far? Who wins and in how many games?
Gavin Lee
6:27
As for the series so far, it is a classic match of an upstart speedy young group with a veteran experienced one
6:28
I love watching it, because every time MacKinnon touches the puck you might witness magic, but you can't count San Jose out no matter what happens.
I think the Sharks will eventually win, but I bet it takes six or seven games. Wouldn't be surprised if Colorado takes one tonight, for instance.
6:29
But predicting the playoffs is foolish at this point

Any idea where Kevin Hayes ends up?
Gavin Lee
6:30
There will be lots of suitors in the summer, but there will be plenty who see Boston as the top landing spot.
I'm not so sure.
Pittsburgh is a possibility depending on how they change their group
6:31
Colorado too, depending on how they feel about their team after these playoffs end.
Lots of landing spots though
Pitt Pete
6:31
Will the Penguins entertain offer for Malkin and Letang?
Gavin Lee
6:31
Oh they'll listen, sure.
But I don't think it happens (my opinion only).

A flip from my last question. Which bottom team (namely Buffalo, Detroit, Jersey, LA, Ottawa) makes the most changes this off season?
Gavin Lee
6:32
I'd guess Buffalo and Los Angeles out of that group.
The Sabres need to win, and they need to win next season.
6:33
There's no more waiting around in Buffalo. They have a star center getting paid like one, a top defenseman that is supposed to put up elite numbers, and a supporting cast that is plenty good enough to challenge for a playoff spot.
I won't be surprised if they go hard after almost every free agent.
(not to mention getting Skinner under a new deal)
Los Angeles meanwhile is just starting the process the other way.
Lots of older assets on that team that could be moved out of town

If it came down to you it, which do you think happens first - NHL owners vote to force Melnyk to sell the team to a buyer that keeps it in Ottawa, or the Sens move out of Ottawa?
Gavin Lee
6:34
I have a hard time believing the owners would do that.
6:35
Let me be clear up front, there is so much left to happen with the Senators before either of these outcomes is a possibility.
