It already could compete for the title of best in the world. This wave of American talent has been incredible, and isn't stopping just yet.

I don't think they'd get a lot for either one, but clearing the roster space and cap room would help the Kings.

I'm not totally convinced he is a top-pairing, 22+ minute kind of guy, but his ceiling is definitely in the top four.
His time will come this season, at some point. Maybe the start of the year if they make several moves.
But by the playoffs, I imagine Bean will be in the mix.

Why did the Flyers give anything up to negotiate with Hayes?  Hayes is good yes but with Couturier and Patrick and even Giroux in Philly don't they have more pressing areas to spend money?

It's good to have depth down the middle.
Adding a center allows them to keep Giroux on the wing, and they can afford to pay another one while Patrick is still on his ELC.

It's not like he's shown he can be more than a 3C at this point anyway, even though I still like his long-term outlook.
