Not only is Jake Bean ready but I think you could put him on your second pairing with Dougie Hamilton and have a legitimate nightmare top-4.
(that said, another year in the AHL rarely hurts prospects)

That sounds exciting.  Who runs the power play?
Gavin Lee

Faulk will still have one of the units if he's on the roster, as that's probably where he adds the most value.
6:53
If he's gone, I'd just give it to Hamilton and Slavin for a year before transitioning Bean into that second spot.

What do you see as the most realistic move from Benning to create cap space for a Boeser contract
Gavin Lee
6:55
They could do it without making a trade, technically. They have almost $7MM in space for him. Remember the CapFriendly number is for a 24-man roster. Two of those would have to go either way to accommodate Boeser. If it's Biega ($825K) and Motte ($975K) for instance, it would put them almost at $7MM

That said, I'd try to trade Tanev at this point if anyone is still interested. I know he's a huge part of the culture but you don't have room to re-sign him.
Like Boston, if they can get rid of Eriksson they would, but it's a tough contract to get out from.

Is there a team that Faulk "fits" best?  Minnesota?
Gavin Lee
6:57
Don't think Minnesota is a great fit with Spurgeon and Dumba on the right side.
It was Toronto until they acquired Barrie.
6:58
To be honest, it's Edmonton. They need someone to move the puck and run a powerplay.
No money though.
Wouldn't hate to see him on the Islanders either, though I'm not sure how he'd fit with Trotz.

Alright guys I'll shut it down there. Thanks for those who stuck with me, I know it's the boring part of the summer.
We're just a few weeks away from preseason!
Take care.
