Scoring 30 points at the NHL level as a 19 year old isn't something to sneeze at.
No one thought of Patrick as a franchise-changer, he's just being held to such a higher standard because of how the others behind him have turned out

I think he'll find his footing and become a perennial 50-60 point guy at minimum, which isn't nothing.

Is anyone outside of the mountain region aware of the display between altitude TV and the big TV providers? I can't figure out how in supposed to watch hockey this year. Any ideas?

Unfortunately he actually can't play in the minors this year, because of the CHL-NHL agreement.
It's either with the Coyotes, or back to the Greyhounds for Hayton

The  team has said that they're going to give him every chance, but I don't think sending him back would be the end of the world in his development

But if Carolina gets Kase for Faulk, they're laughing.

I don't doubt that Drouin will have one or two years that he puts up 60+ points, but I think this is about what he is.
All the skill in the world, loves to play on the perimeter.

This is why I didn't like the trade for Montreal after they gave him that deal. I thought they were basically paying him at his ceiling, and that Sergachev represented a bunch of excess value while still on his ELC.
Winning in the NHL is all about creating excess value. You need to squeeze more production out of the same money as everyone else.

I'll be honest, and this might come back to bite me, but I don't think Adam Fox is going to be a difference maker in the NHL.

I just saw a kid that took advantage of every opportunity in college because he was smarter than everyone else, and I don't know if that will happen in the NHL.

When he went up against Cale Makar in the NCAA tournament for instance, he was completely outclassed. I get that is an unfair comparison since one is one of the most highly touted young defensemen in the league, but every time I watch Fox, I just don't see what others do.

I think he'll be a third line, powerplay guy that scores 20+ goals.
Not a bad addition.
Remember they have Pavelski and Radulov on the right side now, he's not displacing one of them.
