He's already anchored them before when he can stay on the ice.
He's a very good player.
It's not out of the question for him to get 40 points, but that would need prime powerplay time and all 82 games.

As long as your in the predicting mood, if Necas makes the squad does he scoe 15?
Gavin Lee
8:07
If he makes the squad as a full-timer I would almost guarantee 15 goals.
I'm a big fan.
Mike
8:07
Who is the next wave of goalies not in the nhl?
Gavin Lee
8:08
Sorokin, Shesterkin, Samsonov
Just wait until you start hearing people talk about Yaroslav Askarov every day
He's in the next draft, and he might go top-5
8:09
Panthers fans will kill me if I don't mention Spencer Knight.
I believe in Cal Petersen.
There are lots of good prospects.
Flames

Getting Milan was bad this could sink them he is so slow and lost any scoring touch. I see the flames going up in smoke. Your thoughts?
Gavin Lee
8:09
I would be surprised if a fourth-liner can sink them, even if Lucic was a mistake.
8:10
They're a very good team. Remember they were the best team in the West last year, not a bubble team.

On paper we don't look to scary I say we make a nice offer to Mr. point. Lets see what Tampa does
Gavin Lee
8:10
St. Louis? =
8:11
Doesn't look scary? They just won the Stanley Cup and lost almost no one.
Mike
8:11
Do the coyotes finally make the playoffs?
Gavin Lee
8:12
Will need goaltending to stay healthy, but they have a shot.
Tough division though.
Edmonton, Vancouver and LA should all be improved, Anaheim too if the kids take a step

Who are the upcoming cap casualties for the Bruins? Krug? Coyle? Kuraly? The cap deep dive article on them made me think of it, but it doesn’t really mention who the likeliest to go are.
Gavin Lee
8:13
Honestly, I would have had a different answer if they hadn't just locked McAvoy and Carlo in for less than $8MM combined
8:14
They're not in a bad spot at all. I think they can actually re-sign Krug if they want to, though that may make Coyle a little too pricey
There are kids coming though on both fronts, meaning they could decide to just move on and spend money elsewhere.
They're in a good spot, I think doing the bridges were a great call because of the money coming off the books with Krejci and Backes in a couple of years

8:15
I was talking about the Blue Jackets not the blues
Gavin Lee
8:15
Oh, well they're definitely the one team that an offer sheet makes some sense for.
But I don't think Brayden Point has ANY chance of signing one.
8:16
(also, I think the Blue Jackets are actually better than people seem to be giving them credit for)

Better Jack Campbell  or Cal Peterson?
Gavin Lee
8:17
This moment? Probably Campbell. But I think Petersen still has some solid upside and could pass him

10 mil a year for 6 years  Tampa can't match they would be well over the cap. You think Bryaden says no to that offer
Gavin Lee
8:18
They could match that pretty easily, and there are problems with both other sides.
Point wouldn't even entertain it, I don't think.
And Columbus would be paying four first-round picks for the deal.
Which I think would be a mistake anyway
8:20
Let's break this down quickly. The Lightning currently have $8.476MM in cap space with 22 players on the roster (Capfriendly). If they wanted to bring Point in at $10M, they could send Cernak, Cirelli and Joseph down temporarily. All three are waiver-exempt, and make up a little more than $2.1MM in cap space.
