So, this one is tough.

I understand everything the league said in their video, how it was a pin and then a forceful slam that was unnecessary.
But I still can't watch that play and see a suspension.
I'm not really upset about it, because if they wanted to send a message this was a good opportunity for it.

But I just don't see much more than a roughing penalty on that play.
He's definitely trying to throw him to the ice, but the "intent to injure" argument has always been tough for me in any sport.

Pretty much the same as what I thought before he was drafted.
Excellent player, chance to be great. But not generational.

If Kinkaid keeps playing at all close to this level do I have any chance of getting my job back or am  destined to be his backup ... or perhaps 1A 1B type?

I think it would be the latter, instead of a straight backup.

Healthy Schneider can still be a good goaltender I think, but no reason to take Kinkaid out of the net completely.
Also not great to be paying a backup $6MM..
