We probably won't get a better chance than the one they had yesterday. But Duck froze him out like MJ and Isiah Thomas in the all-star game.

If the Steelers enter the last game needing a win to get in and Baltimore has the first seed locked up, do you think the Ravens will rest starters or is the rivalry too intense?
Steelers Insider

No rivalry is too intense to potentially ruin a Super Bowl type of season.

Every article, commentary, broadcast seems to include the presupposition that Hodges isn’t a viable long term NFL qb... seems his strengths like command, poise, leadership are already at a level where you hope that the ones with a pedigree attain, what exactly are his limitations that would preclude him becoming successful besides lack of experience right now?

Still doesn't seem like he has enough zip to make every throw consistently. Arm talent is the biggest question, no doubt.

I think the Steelers should wait to draft a RB in 2021.  They can let Conner play out the final year of his rookie contract.  If he plays well (and is injury free), try to re-sign him.  I'm interesed in the continued growth of Snell, and I really like the potential of Whyte.  I just feel the current RB room of Conner, Snell, Samuels and Whyte can all carry the load for next year.  What say you?  Thanks!

Agreed, not much of a need in the next draft. Certainly no bigger than TE, OLB, some new blood at OL and DL, plus maybe WR.

Josh Allen had a really rough day against the Ravens.  He was sacked a bunch.  He also looked to be nicked up on a few plays.  Is the formula the same for the Steelers this week?  Conservative on offense, aggressive on defense?
Steelers Insider
12:52
No doubt. That's the recipe for this team, against Buffalo or anyone else. And they have the horses on defense to do it.

I just reviewed the Bills season record and they’ve not won against a team of note. Seems  to me we stand a good chance against them. What will be our biggest challenge against them?
Steelers Insider

They have a similar identity to the Steelers right now. Running the ball well, QB making just enough plays and a defense that is pretty stout. Not as many big names, but a lot of solid players. The biggest challenge will probably be generating enough offense against these guys.

I have seen people label 4th, 5th, and even 7th round picks as busts.  If a guy is drafted in the 5th round or later, aren’t they considered generally a project and therefore can’t be a bust?
Steelers Insider
12:55
Pretty much. Kevin Colbert usually says they expect you to develop into a starter if you're drafted in the first three rounds. Beyond that, it's a bonus if you become useful. And the Steelers haven't exactly been hitting on a lot of those later-round picks.

Are NFL fines related to players salary in any way? Thx!
Steelers Insider
12:57
Fines are flat amounts, not pro-rated, but players can appeal based on how much money they make.

Why did they throw down in the red zone (pass was tipped and clock stopped) under 2 minutes remaining? Situation screamed for three straight runs.  Clock management issues!
Steelers Insider

The end of the first half clock management left a bit to be desired, as well. But hey, you see less and less coaches playing "not to lose" and taking risks in those situations. When it doesn't work out, it looks dumb.

What are the chances Colbert jumps ship to Carolina if the price is right?  Thanks.

It's hard to imagine a guy in the twilight of his career heading to a different organization in a different city and taking on that challenge. You never say never, but let's keep in mind how silly the Mike Tomlin-to-Washington story seems now.
OK, the clock has struck 1 and that means we're out of time. We'll be back tomorrow with another Steelers chat, and again on Wednesday, and again on Thursday. See you next week.
