Steelers Insider
10:39
OK, kids, we will start our chat shortly after I get back from the locker room, so get ready.
11:07
OK, here we go...fire away!!
Jimbo from manhasset
11:07
When healthy could James Connor potentially  not get a helmet?  Current group of running backs have some nice mojo!
Steelers Insider
11:08
No. He not only will get a helmet, he will get the ball. But I don't think you will see them get away from using three or four RBs. That has been working well, better than the old way.
EJ
11:10
I noticed some players wear white stripes on the backs of their arms.  What is that and why do they wear them?
Steelers Insider
11:11
It's called KT Tape, and it allegedly promotes better blood flow. You see more and more athletes wearing it now.

If we win this week and the Titans lose, does that secure our wildcard spot?
Steelers Insider
11:12
No, not at all.
Jeff McClelland
11:12
It seems that every week, Cain makes one big catch on his only target of the game. Now that he’s been in the system for a few weeks, are the Steelers working to get him more involved? I think he adds a different dimension and, if nothing else, opens things up for others.
Steelers Insider
11:13
I'm with ya. I like the guy. Hes made two productive catches and drawn two pass interference penalties. He's a tall, long-strider, but when JuJu gets back he might get a little less time.
K dot
11:13
Hargrave doing enough to earn a new contract or is he gone next year?  He's been quietly productive.
Steelers Insider
11:14
They will try to keep him. He's been quietly productive for a while now.
Matt
11:14
How far can you see these Steelers making it this year?  I can see this team beating every teams  in the AFC...
Steelers Insider
11:15
Let's not get too carried away now. With that defense, they are good enough to beat anyone. But, with their lack of offensive scoring ability, they can lose to anyone too.
Mike
11:15
Why put Tuitt on season ending injured list when JJ Watt suffered the same pectoral tear injury and Texans didn’t? Now rumours say Watt is coming back soon to play, that tells me we made the wrong choice with Tuitt!! What can you say?
Steelers Insider
11:16
Let's see if Watt comes back before you start questioning the Steelers decision. Those injuries take a long time. And maybe Watt's tear wasn't as severe. The Steelers know what they're doing, no matter what you or others think.

Has any noticed/acknowledged how often Diontae Johnson slips/falls down? Seems like he does this a few time a game.
Steelers Insider
11:17
Well, when you cut and change directions like he does, that's going to happen. Oh well.
KN
11:18
KN:Good Morning. Thank you for the chat as always. I hate how Rudolph has been treated by Media and even Steelers fans considering that he is playing his first year and we forget how even franchise QB like Manning played in the first year. I find it so easy to root for him considering how he has handle things specially after  false allegations and I like to see your comp of Neil O'donell come to fruition. Having said that, Hodges have shown promise as well. Do you see Hodges as heir to Big Ben for the next 10 years , granted in a limited sample size ? Thank You very much
Steelers Insider
11:20
I agree with you about MR. He did a nice job when he was in there and I wouldn't count on him being phased out as the backup. Nor would I go overboard and assume Duck is the heir apparent to Ben. I think there is a lot more football to be played before that decision can be made.
Steve
11:20
So many in the media are making such a big deal of Hodges being an undrafted free agent. Brady was a 6th round pick. Not too much difference between the two spots. Not calling Duck the next G.O.A.T., but why so much surprise at Hodges' success?
Steelers Insider
11:21
I was more surprised, given his success in college and with NFL teams dying to unearth QBs, that Duck was not only not drafted but he wasn't even signed as a free agent right after the draft.
Jim English
11:21
Do you think that is possible that in view of Hargrave's play this year and Tuitt's propensity to injury, that the Steelers might sign both
Steelers Insider
11:22
Who is the other? Tuitt is under contract.
Bob in Canada
11:22
James Washington has been playing great lately. What has changed in his game?
Steelers Insider
11:22
Confidence. Playing time. I have seen this in practice and camp for two years. Just been waiting to see it in games.
Doug from Raleigh
11:23
Even if the Steelers (likely) lose DePree and Hargrave next year, don't the offensive needs,  TE, OL, probably RB or WR, supersede the temptation to replace them?
Steelers Insider
11:24
I agree those offensive positions need to be addressed in the draft, especially TE. And I think they need to take a D-lineman no later than the fourth round to improve their depth, which is sketchy. But if Dupree is not re-signed or franchised, OLB will become a high priority in the draft.
PMAC
11:24
How serious can the Steelers be in the Bud Dupree sweepstakes in the off season?
Steelers Insider
11:26
If they get in the "sweepstakes," as you say, they can't be. Teams will throw more money at him than the Steelers can endure. Their best hope is to sign him before free agency (which I doubt), or use the franchise tag on him. But keep in mind Antonio Brown's $21 million hit comes off the cap next year
Jim English
11:26
Is it possible that the Steelers keep Hargrave and Bud and trade Tuitt?
Steelers Insider
11:26
No.
Matt
11:27
Gerry, 4 years-44million for Dupree. Fair deal?
Steelers Insider
11:27
Indeed.
John D
11:28
After reading about the by-line strike, I now understand why Ed jumped ship.  I hope we do not lose you or Batko.
Steelers Insider
11:28
Darn that Ed. I'll see what we can do about keeping Ray.
RyanW
11:29
What happens first, Terrell Edmund's Interception or Zach Banner catch?
Steelers Insider
11:29
Now now....
Tampa Too
11:29
It used to be that the Pittsburgh defense was always being gouged by the opponents tight ends. This year however it seems that coverage is much better on the opponents tight ends. Your thoughts?
Steelers Insider
11:31
Well, that's not entirely true because they allowed a lot of catches and TDs to tight ends earlier this season. But I think everything is better right now, and a lot of that is because the defense has remained healthy (except Tuitt) and the new players are learning to play together.
