Hi Will,
How much effect will online course certifications will have on the application process. I am waiting for one course to come to completion, I was wondering If I should submit application instead of completing..

Charu, it would depend on a couple of things - is this course for college credit? Is it related to the program to which you applied? Is there a grade or is it more pass/fail? All of these things should be taken into consideration. However, if you'll complete it before the Feb 1, or Mar 15, deadline, then I'd say go ahead and complete it and then submit your application with that on your resume/cv. There's no advantage to submitting it now vs getting it in by the deadline.

Hi Will, my referee is asking about the outline of the recommendation letter? Dot points on what to emphasise would be great

Hi guest, we don't really offer any information about what should go in the recommendation letter. If they are an academic reference, we recommend they mention your academic abilities, for example.

Oh, submitting it today or before Feb 1st has no effect on the application?..

Charu, that is correct. We do not do rolling admissions, so whether you submit today or submit on Feb 1, all of those applications will be looked at after the Feb 1 deadline, and you'll receive decisions on one of the posted dates on our website: https://gradadm.seas.upenn.edu/how-to-apply/
