Aveenesh, we do require at least one letter from college faculty, unless you've been out of school for 5 or more years. To your 2nd question, you may only apply to 1 PhD program, but you can apply to multiple master's programs.

Shaun, we do have an invite-only PhD visit program in the fall for potential PhDs. At this time, we don't have anything for potential master's students, but we are working on putting together a tour for those that may want to visit campus. In addition, you can contact an individual dept if you would like to set up a visit and/or meet with prospective faculty and/or current students.

2- Two of my reference letters will be from professors that I have closely worked with in CS area. I am planning to get my 3rd reference letter from my professor at University of Notre Dame, where I studied one semester as an exchange student. His area is psychology, though we had a great personal relationship and I believe he can refer my soft skills in terms of adapting the life in US. Do you think it is a good idea to including his reference?
