They've done that in years past. I think they re-signed Sutton during the legal tampering period two years ago. They've done it with others too. The legal tampering period is three days before free agency begins. You rarely see the Steelers signing free agents in January or February.

Hi Ray, you had WR as #5 on your list of needs.  Should the Steelers bring in an affordable veteran or draft someone on Day 3?  Thanks!

Either is a possibility. They've bene so good at drafting WRs they might want to stick with that philosophy. Plus, the colleges are producing good receivers every single year. It makes fiscal sense to keep drafting them because you can control them for four years at minimum.

Ray, outside of Cam Sutton, is there a "must sign" FA from the 22 Steelers?

Ogunjobi or they'll have to go the free agent route again and get another guy like him.

Watching Daniel Jones these past few weeks I can't help but wonder if Pickett can't use his legs similarly to Jones. Jones may be a little bigger but athletically they seem fairly equal. Pickett has sneaky fast wheels. As long as he can be taught to get down like Jones does (for the most part) it would seem to be useful addition to his game. Tomlin made it clear last year that he wants an athletic QB, seems like he has one, do you think they'll move in this direction in future years?

I think you have to be careful with designed runs for QBs. Kenny Pickett was concussed twice this year. Both came when he was in the pocket or escaping pressure, but think about the increased opportunities defenses would have if they ran him more. Also, look at what happened in Baltimore the past two seasons. Lamar Jackson was injured in the second half of both seasons and it ruined their chances of making a playoff run. They were lucky to make the playoffs this year. Having a mobile QB is great. It opens up a lot of things for your offense, but they have to have a knack for avoiding injuries too.

How much do you think it will cost to keep Ogunjobi, more or less than his last contract? I don't think he outplayed his contract, injuries and such....

He just played out a one-year deal for $8 million. I don't think they'd have to go much higher given his injury history. So in that same ball park.

Ray what do you think about Hargrave coming back possibly he’s a free agent and who is your pick for the Super Bowl

Hargrave is getting older so he'd have to settle for a mid-range deal to return. If he would agree to that I'd be OK with it. He's a good player. Eagles over Bengals.
I'd probably have gone with the Chiefs had Mahomes not been injured.

Thanks for taking part in today's chat. Check my Twitter for the time of next week's chat. I'll be at the Senior Bowl so it might change. Cheers.
