Please tell me that the Steelers are not going to give Diontae Johnson WR1 money.  He is not a WR1.  If they do, it will be a big mistake.  He is too inconsistent.

You need some consistency there. Can't be drafting WRs with premium picks every year. The idea is to draft and develop and re-sign guys that do well. I agree Johnson has been inconsistent so In wouldn't offer him top 20 WR money. But maybe mid-tier money.

I don't know. What would they get for a player entering the final year of his contract? To me, it's simple. If they're convinced he is motivated then they bring him back and maybe even ask him to take a pay cut. If they're not convinced then they have to move on from him.

Ray - What was the Steelers reluctance to use some of the players that they signed to the practice squad during the season? With an assumed lack of experience on the field with younger players or rookies, it would seem that players like Karl Joseph, Anthony Miller, Steve Sims, Khalil Davis, etc with NFL experience could have provided some value. Any thoughts??

As far as I know, DeCastro did not lose a close family member. He had an injury. Tuitt's brother unexpectedly died in June. He had a hard time overcoming his grief.

Orlando Brown is a free agent. Any chance K.C. lets him go and can Dan Moore play RT? I know he struggled with that at camp but given more time you’d think he could make the transition.

If they can upgrade at left tackle they should. Dan Moore should be able to play both sides. If he can't then shame on them for drafting him.

They don't really retire numbers other than Stautner and Greene. The others are unofficially retired which is what I expect for 7.
