Are there any first round grade centers?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:41
Not really. Landon Dickerson might have been, but he tore his ACL in the national title game.

2:42
you think the Bucs had the blueprint to beat the Chiefs, or was that just a result of their offensive line being banged up?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:42
A little of both, but that blueprint worked pretty darn well.

I live in Florida and have watched Trask and the Gators for several years. He is a very intelligent and accurate passer, but not very mobile. He needs a good line in front of him. He can run some, but that is not his strength. Certainly not a first round choice. Later rounds, take a chance.

Do you think NFL will make any changes to OL holding penalty? I think the Steelers were victimized quite a bit by many, many non-calls?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:44
If officials see blatant holding penalties they should call them. I don't really understand how that became a thing last year. Maybe the league wanted more offense. Just not in the Super Bowl. Ha ha.

Isn’t Trask another version of Rudolph?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:44
Those are my initial thoughts.

2:44
When does the NFL decide what the cap number will be?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:44
Usually late February or early March.
George
2:45
Do you think Greenwood will get in HoF some day?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
Maybe, but if he didn't get in with the big class last year I'm not sure when he will.

ESPN insiders projected Villanueva going to LA for $15 mill a year. I thought it was absurd too
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
That's laughable. And I like Al and wish him well.
Jud
2:46
Realistically we should be drafting 3 OL in April correct?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
I wouldn't blink an eye if they did. They did it in 2012 and two of them are still playing -- DeCastro and Beachum. Mike Adams, who was taken in the second round, didn't work out so well.

Why did the Steelers draft two players from the University of Maryland last year? They were the two "busts" of our draft.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
Not off to good starts, but let's give it a little while longer on both.
Karl Hungus
2:48
Ray loved your 1st pick Najee Harris in your Mock Draft. I hope we can get him, but there's a possibility that the Dolphins or Jets might get him before us. What would be your back up plan best player available or Best Offensive Lineman?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
Yes a number of different ways to go, but I think it might be best offensive lineman after that. I do see some LBs mocked to the Steelers by national analysts, but I don't get that. If you're talking an ILB, he's going to be a part-time player for the Steelers unless they find a way to use him in their dime.

It would have cost more, maybe too much but I still believe the Steelers took the wrong Devin. Both Bush & White have had season wrecking injuries but White is a legit MLB & Bush is a glorified safety who is still a liability in coverage... ah hindsight... no wait... it was foresight!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
White is a special player. The cost was high to get to 10. Astronomical to get to 5 and they couldn't pull it off.
Jud
2:51
do you agree that there were a lot of flags in the SB?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
I thought the defensive holding call that negated the INT was a bad call. But you know the Chiefs were undisciplined. In big games, you have to have players keep their cool.

Ray, I know that our run game needs a lot of help, but if a player like zaven collins of Tulsa was available wouldn't it make more sense to pair him with bush and have an elite tandem in the middle (like TB)  then we could concentrate on ol and rbs right after. What say you?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
As I said a few questions ago, how does he fit into the dime? The Steelers don't usually draft part-time players in the first round.
Karl Hungus
2:54
Did you notice the starting OL on Tampa's team were all from small Colleges or AA 2. I think we can fix the line quickly, what do you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
If they draft and sign the right guys in free agency, but I think it will take some time.

The Bills & the Steelers need to improve their O line but a RB that has WR hands, body control and top shelf RB skills can improve that a lot, don't you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
Yes I do.
Jud
2:55
I can't see the Steelers drafting a punter, I can't.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
See Daniel Sepulveda.

2:55
Will the draft be virtual again this year?  That was such a drag last year
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
Seems like it's trending in that direction. Roger Goodell said at the Super Bowl the offseason was going to be pretty much the same.

Hey... Haven't had the opportunity to make it to McKee's Rock & that Itailian bakery you recommended a couple of seasons ago... Have they survived the world crisis? Still hope to hit their back door for those potato cakes!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
I hope they did. I need to get back there. I haven't been there in a while either.
2:57
OK thanks for all the questions today. We'll do it again next week.
