BINGO

What do you think would be required to trade up to get White, the ILB from LSU?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:19
Probably too much. Moving up 10 spots to get into the top 10 would likely require too much in draft pick compensation.
AK
12:19
As much as the Steelers need a CB, I think they need a fast ILB more.  Your thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:20
I agree. There seem to be questions about all of the top corners in this draft. Greedy Williams ran a 4.3, but teams are concerned with some other parts of his game. Deandre Baker ran a 4.53. Byron Murphy ran a 4.55. Plus, Baker and Baker are under 6 feet. If they can get White or Bush I think they go that route.

Ray, I think JuJu needs a WR who can stretch the field for him match last year's numbers. Who would you target in FA and draft?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:21
John Brown in free agency and check out my mock draft tomorrow for the guy I think who might be a good fit in the draft.

The Ravens are rumored to be the most likely team to sign Bell.  Do you think tge Ravens would spend that much money on a RB?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:21
No they're usually smarter than that.

12:22
How long do you think will be before AB gets under the skin of Coach Gruden?  I don’t see Chuckie putting up with any of AB’s lunacy.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:22
Chuckie better be able to put him with him because they just wrote a $30 million check that he gets to keep no matter what.
KA
12:22
I assume the Steelers will use a draft pick on a TE in this year’s draft.  What do you think is most likely; an early, mid round, or late round pick?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:23
Middle rounds. They're letting Jesse James test free agency and the thinking is he'll find more money on the open market. So they need a backup. Not sure Xavier Grimble or Jake McGee is that guy.
Gregg
12:23
When will your newly-expanded next mock draft be?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:23
Tuesday morning.

Hi Ray, any chance to interview Colbert/Rooney/Tomlin on their thought process and why they settled for 3rd and 5th round picks for AB when they kept stressing "significant" compensation (1st round pick) for him?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:24
Art will be available at the owners meetings next week. The PG's Gerry Dulac will be there to chronicle it.
Aaaa
12:24
Can we assume the Steelers will not use a draft pick on a QB this year?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:24
I think that's a safe bet.

If AB worked in any other industry outside of professional sports, he would be celebrated as a business genius. Equally, heads would roll if, in any other industry, a company's most valuable two assets were exchanged for virtually ZERO. Do you  not agree that much of Steelers' anger and disgust should be aimed at our coach and management that ALLOWED all of this to happen, versus the individuals that were merely pursuing their selfish interests?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:25
I've been on record Rooney deserves some blame for giving him the contract after the Facebook Live video. And I think more blame should be placed at the feet of Tomlin for allowing Brown to behave the way he did without consequences for so many years. They both enabled Brown, and Brown screwed them over on his way out the door.

Antonio Clown nixing the Bills trade shouldn’t be allowed. A player who doesn’t have a no trade clause,Should have to return all money if refuses to play .
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
Then what would the Bills get out of it?
Chuck B
12:26
With $16 Million in cap space even with Brown's dead money, what positions if any do you see the Steelers perusing in FA with the hopes of actually signing someone?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
CB, ILB or WR. I'd like to see a veteran starter signed at one of those positions. Maybe S if Morgan Burnett is released, which I think will happen.
Steeler Joe
12:27
Do you think the AB situation might change the way the Steelers deal with stars' contracts going forward? They fronted a lot of money to him early in the deal, assuming he'd honor the back end--and that didn't happen. It's an anomaly, but AB might also have set precedent for how the best players will deal with "contracts" going forward.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:27
Colbert said they're not changing the way they do business because of Brown. We'll see.
Steeler Joe
12:27
Chances that the Steelers package some picks to move up to get a Devin?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
I think there is a decent chance, but we're still six weeks away from the draft. Plenty can happen between now and then.
Steeler Joe
12:28
If you were a betting man, when do they take a WR in the draft?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
Second or third round.
John in Florida
12:28
There appears to be a shortage of top rated ILBs in the draft, probably only 2 in the first round and 1 or 2 at best in the second. Do you think the Steelers are more likely to spend for a top free agent like Jordan Hicks or hope to bundle draft picks to move up and grab one of the Devins? Getting a starter in free agency would let them focus on DBs (not an historically successful venture in the past) and WRs in the first few rounds. Thanks.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:29
I think you can do both. I'm not sure if Jordan Hicks is their guy in free agency or if any ILB in free agency fancies them. But if they do believe they can find a starter in free agency I don't think it would factor much into their decision in Round 1. You play the best players. If Vince Williams all of a sudden becomes a back then so be it.

12:29
Where am I headed? Do the Steelers run the ball more in 2019?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
If they're smart they will.
James
12:30
Will Jesse James be re-signed or will Pitt draft a tight-end?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
I think Jesse will find a better deal from another team and I think the Steelers will draft a backup TE.

How is it possible that Kevin Colbert can sit there and say that the Steelers weren’t going to act out of desperation, and that if need be AB would just remain on the roster, but then turn around and dump an asset for sub market value, which screams of desperation?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
For the last time, they didn't want to deal with his antics any longer. It really is that simple.

Will Kevin Colbert change the way he writes contracts now based on the current trend of guaranteed money beyond year 1?
