He's not the most accurate QB in this class, but he does have strong leadership qualities, was a winner at Cincinnati and has some athletic ability.

what would it take to get Barkley from the Giants to be a compliment to Najee in the backfield? extend both of their careers and have a formidable backfield and pass catching rb option
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
So Barkley can get four carries a game? Why do that?
Joe
2:33
I am curious what the Steelers will do about SS. I heard a report from Kinkhabwala mentioned the Steelers made an offer to Edmunds and are now have renewed interested in the Honey Badger as he is intrigued with the Steelers and his demands for money have gone down. Thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
I don't think they're in any hurry. I think they like Edmunds for a certain price and would be happy to have him back if he agreed.
Joe
2:34
I really feel like DL would be one of the top two picks along with receiver. Thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
I think you're on the right track. They were last in the league in run defense. Let's take the age of out the equation they still need to improve at the position. People see numbers there and think they are OK. They're not.

What’s the upside of D Moore in your opinion. Adequate starter, solid starter, career backup, etc…. Thanks Ray
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
Adequate to solid starter.

Hi ray So I was listening to a podcast and the Steelers are working on a Contract extension for Mikah  Fitzpatrick Do you think he want Jamal Adams’s money it was for 4 years $72 million Do you think the Steelers will top that
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
It will cost in the ball park of $17 million a year to get Fitzpatrick done. And that might seem reasonable in a few years the way the cap is going.

2:37
Good afternoon Ray what do you think about us drafting Skyy Moore or maybe signing Kurt hinish is a undrafted free agent
Ray Fittipaldo
2:37
Skyy Moore is going to be good. Might have to get him in round 2 though.
Tom
2:50
i will be disappointed if they don't take DL in the first round.  they signed OL and QB in free agency and nothing on the DL.   agree?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
Depends who is there. They won't reach.
Ed in Carrick
2:50
Is the UConn DL in play in the second round for the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Travis Jones. You see him in some first-round mocks now or early second round. Might be there at 52, but he's gotten a big bump since the Senior Bowl.
Mike
2:51
Ray, a lot of the mock drafts do not include safety in the top picks with the exception of the kid from ND.  Is there any possibility the Steelers pick a safety somewhere in the draft, or are they still hoping to sign Edmonds?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Absolutely they could especially if they don't sign one before the draft. It's a pretty good year for CBs and safeties in the draft.

2:51
Do you think Zappe is being considered at QB in the middle rounds?  This dude can throw!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
He can sling it, but he's small
DR. L
2:52
Can Wyatt be effective as both an NT and inside pass rusher?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
He's more of a 3-technique than a nose, but they'd have to find someplace for him to play on running downs.

Ray do you like Quay Walker at LB for us?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
I like Quay Walker. He was part of that very good Georgia defense.
Chuck in MD
2:53
Ray...any chance a top INSIDE LB will be taken at #20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
It's possible, but I think they have eyes on other defensive positions before ILB.
Hickster
2:55
Who is your favorite WR in the draft? I think the Steelers need one that can create separation. A deep threat also opens up running lanes for Najee
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
For the Steelers? Yeah they need speed and someone to separate from coverage.
Jay Daven
2:56
Ray,  what position will Green play or will he be a backup guard/center?  If the latter is true, the Steelers blew it on this draft choice!  Your comments.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
He was a third-round pick so I'm not sure if you can "blow it" on a third-round pick. Sometimes those guys develop into starters and sometimes not. It's not the worst thing in the world if he's your top interior backup.
DR. L
2:57
Best sign for the offense next year? Yards per carry going up for Najee. Best sign for the defense? Minkah with less tackles and more INTS. What do ya think?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
Yes, they'd be very happy if it worked out that way.
DR. L
2:58
For me, I think stopping the run was the biggest weakness last year, as the lack of stopping it in turn kept the opposing defense very fresh to stop Najee. If you are going to go back to an old, reliable formula to win (i.e. run the ball and stop the run), the pick is Jordan Davis, and the Steelers should do whatever they can to land him.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
You might be right about how he'd fit in the Steelers defense, but doing whatever to land a nose tackle isn't going to happen.

Ray,  I believe the draft is before the 5th year option is due for Bush. If the is true and we take an ILB in round 1 or 2 do the Steelers not offer the 5th year to Bush?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
No I think Bush is on the team no matter what unless there is something up with his health. And there is no sign of that.
AZ Stiller
2:59
Do you think there is really anything to infer from the number of college QB visits the Steelers decision makers have made?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:00
Sure, it's notable. They're doing their homework as they should. Doesn't mean they'll draft one at No. 20 though.

How concerned should we really be about Pickett's hand size? Have there been any successful quarterbacks in recent memory that have had at least a similar sized hand?
