I'd pass. He's small and I'd worry about him getting injured all the time.

Good afternoon Ray.  Do you see Steelers doubling up if Davis is available in first round and jones in second?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:31
No. You don't draft two nose tackles. Why would you do that?
Jimmy
2:32
Hi Ray,  How much improvement do you see inBush with a better d line to keep blockers off him ?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:32
That would certainly help him, but he has some improvement to do on his own beyond that.
2:34
I still don't think he's going to fall that far, but if he does he's hybrid enough that he could play SS alongside Minkah.

If the Steelers haven’t signed a starting strong safety by the draft and given the fact Kyle Hamilton is visiting the Steelers, if he falls into the teens do you see the Strength trading up to get him? Thanks
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
Ooops. Question to previous answer.

Given the lack of receivers which is more important. A speedster on outside or slot?  I’ve seen that clay pool can move into slot.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
Will be interesting to see what they do. If they take a big-play speedster maybe it signals they don't believe in Claypool in that role. And maybe he does move inside. But if they take a slot it probably says they're going to live with Claypool and his inconsistencies as the big-pay threat.

What will it take to bring back Edmunds?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
I'm guessing $4-5 million. Maybe less.

WRs to keep an eye on at #20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
Treylon Burks and Chris Olave and maybe Jahan Dotson.
Jud
2:37
If the Steelers draft 2 starting capable WRs, could you see them supplanting Claypool and/or Johnson?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:37
Eventually but probably not in 2022.

Position scarcity results in less promising prospects at QB to be drafted earlier despite better prospects being available at other positions.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:38
That's probably how it will play out. It usually goes that way although this is a weaker QB class than usual.
Gordie Lockbaum
2:38
Related to position scarcity continued: Because the Steelers have so many other needs and this QB class being graded as having less well-qualified NFL franchise caliber QBs, shouldn't the Steelers NOT draft a QB now and go with the better prospects who fall to them at pick 20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:39
I would not be surprised at all if that's the way it falls.

Is training camp back in Latrobe?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:39
Nothing has been announced on that. It seems to be trending in that direction though.

When you described Ridder as lacking on arm strength and accuracy and then hearing others praise him for being athletic and a winner with the "it factor" all I can think is Tebow. Do you really see the Steelers interested in him?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:40
Whoa whoa whoa. I think he has a better arm than Tebow. I never said that. He just has issues with arm strength and accuracy just not to the level of Tebow.

Do you think some day people will talk about TJ with the same reverence they do for Lambert?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:40
I do.

Hey Rat, what are your thoughts on Kenyon Green? I get that the moves made in FA make OL less of a NEED, but pairing him at LG next to his old teammate in Dan Moore would seem to be a good fit due to their familiarity and with his position flexibility could truly turn the OL into a force, but again, would love to hear your insight. Thank you.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:41
I really like Kenyon Green, but after they signed Daniels and Cole in free agency I doubt they draft an interior OL at No. 20

Do you see the Steelers willing to sign Edmunds to only a multi-year deal?  If we sign Edmunds for a 1 year deal, like we did with Ju-Ju, then we will be in the same boat next year with Edmunds. As Tomlin says, we want volunteers and not hostages.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:42
I don't think it matters. A lot of these two-year deals are really one-year deals anyway.
Ed in Carrick
2:42
Are the Steelers seriously considering a late round pick on RB or just a FA?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:43
I'd be surprised given that Snell and McFarland, both former fourth-round picks, still remain on the roster and are under contract for 2022.
Cody

Ray, Do you think the Steelers will draft 1 or 2 WR and what Wrs do you like the best ?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:44
I'm intrigued by Burks. I know he didn't run well, but he plays fast, is versatile and highly productive. He's been compared to Deebo Samuel. The Steelers could use a guy like that. And Jameson Williams might be the most talented WR in this draft, but he's coming off an ACL injury. Would the Steelers feel comfortable taking him in Round 1?
Ed in Carrick
2:44
is Kevin reader a lock to make team. Seems only position they won’t draft.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
I wouldn't say he's a lock. They have a TE on the practice squad who might push him. Jace Sternberger was with the team for half of last season and could challenge him.

I would hate to see the Steelers pass on Hevward. What round would they have to take him?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
7th or UDFA.

Ray, here is big one for you.  How many years before all contracts for NFL players will be guaranteed 90-100 %  We know it's coming!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
It'll still be a while for that, but QBs can expect to see more guaranteed $$$ after the Watson deal.
