I hope that your reply will not be "I don't not address hypotheticals," or similar.  If somehow (by magic) you knew that a kicker coming out of college would NEVER miss a kick, either a PAT, or a FG of 50 yards or less in the NFL (nor would the kick be blocked), would you take this kicker in the first Round?  Would you take the kicker with the No. 1 overall Pick?
Ray Fittipaldo

I don't address hypotheticals.
Just kidding. NO. Never, ever take a kicker in Round 1.

If we pickup Heyward, is Watt gone?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
Not necessarily.

any Tuition news?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
No and not sure there will be before the draft.

It's probably not a priority, but do you see big changes with the RB room? I'd love to see someone with speed as a backup to Najee.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
I don.t

Hi Ray, it seems that there is a much greater demand in the NFL these days for interior DL that can rush the passer. It also seems that there is a shortage of these players on the market. Based on this, do think the Steelers could possibly utilize their 2nd rounder on a guy like Winfrey, Mathis, or Jones (UCon) given how deep the draft is at other positions of need, mainly WR & CB? Thank you
Hey Ray, if the Steelers were to plan to draft a SS to come in and be an impact starter, I would imagine it would mean taking one in the first 3 rounds. Any prospects in particular you feel would be a really good fit in the early rounds and why? Thank you.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Yes I could see that. I think if they draft a DL it will be in Round 1 or round 2.

Ray, do you see Burrow winning multple SBs, or will he be a one-hit wonder like A Rodgers?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
Well, considering he hasn't won anything yet I'd say the comparison is more like Boomer Esiason, just to name a Bengal. (I think Burrow is better, but you get my point. All he did was get there.)

Does Flores have an assistant?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
An assistant what?
Paul from Sacramento

Hi Ray, Love your chats and insight.
Ray Fittipaldo

Thanks Paul!

if we draft a QB before round 3, aren't we saying that we don't think Trubiski nor Rudolph are the answer?  Seems like we are hedging bets
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
Well, they're no paying either of them like they're the answer...

2:54
Maybe Burrows will be the next Jim Kelly.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
That's even better than Esiason.

2:54
Do you think this will be a rebuilding year or will squeak out the playoffs?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
It'd be quite the story if they made the playoffs in the first season without Roethlisberger.

Do the linemen get together in offseason like the skill players. I mean for practice and the like.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
I don't think they train together a lot, but all of them train at various gyms and performance centers that are known for developing linemen.

I hereby predict that with the loss of Big B to retirement, there will be an increase of 33% in offensive points scored next season.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
I'll take that bet, Kevin.

2:56
If a new free agent does not make the team does he get any pay at all?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
His signing bonus.
kevin in Punxsy
2:58
It would only take one more TD per game!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
That's still a lot.

Do position coaches report to coordinators or the head coach ?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
Both really but ultimately the HC.

2:59
Why do the Steelers carry an extra kicker, Sam Sloman in this case.?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
Many teams take two kickers to camp. Kind of like taking a fourth QB. Take reps away from your other guys.

OK thanks for all the questions this week. We'll do another chat next Tuesday. See you then.
