I like Robinson in that range. He's only 5-8, which is why he won't go earlier. The Steelers like going to Kentucky to get players. It's a school they have scouted in the past and found some players.

You mention Ridder, Moore and Mathis as first three picks. Assuming they go QB in first round wouldn’t it be prudent to consider Travis Jones in the second round if available?  WR is deeper than DT in this draft class (if you listen to the “experts”).

I've talked to a number of people involved in the draft who don't think Jones will be there at 52. But if he was I think he's be a good pick.

Please explain how things work at the trading facility on the South Side. Specifically, are there different doors the Steelers and Panthers enter or is there just one big atrium they all enter into. Also, do the teams interact or is that prohibited by NFL rules?  Thanks.

No rules. Coaches and players interact all the time. You'll see Pitt players hanging out watching practice from the balcony above the practice field or the benches on the practice field. There are separate entrances however. The Steelers have one side of the building and Pitt has the other. They don't cross paths in the hallways or anything like that. You don't even see Pitt players in the cafeteria because they have dining on their side, too.

Being from Baton Rouge, I know how GREAT CB Stingley (LSU) was in his freshman year. However, if he's available at 20 based on our draft history with CBs do you feel Steelers pull that trigger if both Willis/Pickett are gone?

That's hard to say. I think the number you want to pay attention to is TD to INT ratio. He needs to protect the ball. This defense, with a few tweaks, can help them win a lot of games.

Sure it can. But you need a QB who can make critical plays in the game to help you win. You can't throw for 100 yards a game and win. But you can win with balance.
