Not sure. Maybe other teams just didn't view him as a starter.

Why do you think the Steelers completely ignored O-line, specifically tackle in the draft? They let Faalale go to the Ravens and continually passed on Rasheed Walker and Kellen Diesch.

One of my draft sources told me there are some real concerns about Faelele being able to maintain his weight... As for the Steelers tackles, they like Dan Moore and signed Chuks to a three-year deal worth $29 million.

i have read on fb that the reason for the oladokun pick is bec they needed a scout qb knowing that lamar & watson are in our division. but they cld have gotten him as an undrafted. thoughts?

You can get athletic scout team QBs from week to week. Sign 'em and cut 'em. You don't draft guys for the scout team.

Why is Tomlin part of the interview process for the new GM?  Who gets to interview their future boss?

I was a little surprised to hear Colbert say that, but not really surprising the way the Steelers do business. With Colbert and Tomlin, it wasn't a boss-employee type of relationship and I'm sure Rooney is looking for the same dynamic with the next GM.

I kinda wanted Kalon Barnes as a CB, some of our corners are slow and he did run a 4.23. He was picked one pick after oludakon, i think we shouldve got him instead

If he runs a 4.23 and is still available in Round 7 there are some major concerns with his ability to cover.

Edmunds at SS, Witherspoon at CB, Chuks at RT, Bush at ILB, probably Wormley at DE, Cole at center, Dotson at G, ?? at QB...is this the worst roster that the Steelers have started a season with since maybe 1999 or even 1989?
Ray Fittipaldo

I wouldn't go that far, but some of these guys have to pan out.

Are you surprised the Steelers didn’t go after a top ILB like Devin Lloyd when they knew they were going to decline Bush’s option year?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:02
No because Bush is on the team next season.

Leal in the 3rd seems about right. They coached Hargrave into a good 3r round run stuffer. If he plays at 295 lbs in the interior, no reason to be glum with the pick.
Ray Fittipaldo

Not glum. I think he'll be fine. Just think they should have drafted a nose at some point. Their run defense was horrible last season, and I don't see how they improved it this offseason.

Ok that's all the time I have this week. Join me next Tuesday for another chat.
