Just the offense in general and how it looks under Matt Canada.
Justin
2:45
Now for the punter question, good pick?  Seems like an upgrade
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
He's got a great leg. If he's consistent in camp I think he'll win the job.

our OLB depth worries as we have Watt and somewhat unproven players. Without pass rush and our DB, I am not confident on our defense for next year. Any moves we can make to improve defense?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
The return of a healthy Devin Bush count?
Tom in Punta Gorda
2:45
D. Watt will be a happy guy if Canada uses him like he did George Aston at Pitt.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
I would agree.

2:46
Has the new punter held on Fgs?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
Not sure, but QBs can handle those duties too.

Quinn Meinerz was ranked significantly higher, yet they passed on him for Green. Was Green playing last year, while Meinerz didn’t, the reason they selected him? Isn’t that a bit short sighted?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
Significantly higher by whom? Seriously, the grades you see from draft analysts aren't consensus grades. Teams have their own boards for a reason. They believe in their scouts and don't rely on groupthink.

Ray,  congrats for getting the Steelers first round pick correct.  Also, thanks for the draft stats and i all the other info all these many months.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
Thanks Dave. I got Devin Bush right in 2019 but not Chase Claypool in 2020. Sigh.

hey ray......why are they keeping Ebron?  He was such a liability last year.  holding your breath every time a ball came his way.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
I think they think there is still some value as a pass-catching TE, but yeah, I don't see him signing with the Steelers again after next season.

I've read all the articles about our decision at center.  That said, do you really build your line of the future around a guy 6-1 1/2 (not 6-2) and barely 300 - especially if you want to re-establish the run?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
They like his athleticism and demeanor.

Thanks for the chat, Ray! Really enjoyed it, and thanks for taking a couple of my questions. I still want to know your thoughts on our 260 pound punter running a muffed snap ...
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Get out of his way!

for all those who think Green is small for a center Dermontti Dawson was 6'2" 297 when he was drafted

2:51
Is the new center Green athletic enough to pull?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Yes he is. Adrian Klemm said it's one of his strong suits

Any chance they let Harris wear '32?' I've been handing on to my Franco jersey since the '70s
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
I would hope not. I think he's wearing Rick Woods' old jersey number.

I keep reading mixed reports on the blocking of Friermuth. I have seen everything from "weak" to "beast". On a scale of 1-10 with one being "beast" how would you rate his blocking?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
Right now a 6 I guess.

Ray, I love how people who have never watched a Badgers Game in their life can sit there and say what a wasted  pick Loudermilk was when they’ve what, read in their Lindys draft magazine something about his lateral movement blah blah blah? Having watched him play every game of his college career I believe the Steelers know exactly what they stole in round 5.  Rant over, actual question.  Do you see Steelers possibly trying to trade off a few guys, such as a RB like McFarland or Snell to recover some picks as assets for possible pre-season trades to add veteran depth if needed as they’ve done few times   lately?  Few areas now where no chance someone guys make roster now.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
Maybe but for what? A sixth or seventh-round pick?
Buena Vista
2:53
He's  pictured with his Steelers double duece
Ray Fittipaldo

As I said... RIck Woods.

According to overthecap.com, the Steelers have roughly $10.2M in cap space left.  How much is needed to sign draft picks and what could used to bring in a CB or OLB?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
Sign draft picks and keep some in reserve for the season. That's how they roll.
GM
2:56
Hi Ray, thanks for the chat.  In your opinion who has the best chance to start from this rookie class?  I'm leaning towards the OT or the CB/S Norwood
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
Um Najee Harris.
Adam
2:57
Will the Steelers regret not drafting a CB in the early rounds?  I have concerns about the secondary.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
They must have faith in Pierre or Layne. Or they're going to make a trade or pick someone up in August.
GM
2:58
What's with the formula Colbert talked about with a 4th rounder in 2022?  Is that still on the table.  Also I meant other than Harris
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
Overthecap.com put out a projection today and predicted the Steelers would get a third-round comp pick for losing Dupree and a fifth-round comp pick for losing Feiler.
Rob
2:59
So who will be the Steelers 3rd CB after Haden and Sutton?  A guy named Steve Nelson sure would look good out there with those two.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
Right now it's James Pierre.
